Everything pleasing at this unique Park Slope restaurant. Particular favourites from the northern Italian menu were beet-stuffed ravioli, superb pea and mint filled ravioli, saltimbocca, baked whole fish and delicious selection of desserts including house-made gelato and ice creams. Quite extensive wine list from which we had an excellent Gavi.

A warm June night this year brought me into Al Di La and straight back to Italy. The Trebbiano wine I asked for was brought immediately, followed shortly by the soup of the day, clam and tomato. The broth perfectly balanced those flavors, as well as containing a good amount of lemon juice, which was a wonderful compliment to the... More

Warm, cozy and delicious, the gracious service and carefully prepared food will have you longing to return. Perfectly cooked pastas, inventive sauces, with flavors bursting, wow'ed me with every bite. Our server was knowledgable, attentive and charming. I only wish this restaurant was in my neighborhood. And did I mention it was a bargain? This place rocks!

This was a fabulous place to eat, the food was really special. I lived in Venice and I experienced flashbacks to some of my best meals there. The food is fresh and made with care and service friendly and efficient. Park Slope is a charming neighbourhood. Try this place out!

Everything about this restaurant is first rate; the food, service and ambience. In addition to their menu, daily specials are always featured. The mussel appetizer is terrific and the homemade pastas can't be beat! Service is attentive and friendly. They offer a very reasonable half carafe of house wine, excellent. No reservations, so be prepared to either get there early... More

Been going to Al di La ever since they opened, 3-4 times a year for special occasions. Really our best restaurant, ever, anywhere. (Well, we've had a couple of crazy amazing meals, but at a really different price point and a whole different kind of experience--like Chez Panisse in Berkeley or David Toutain in Paris.) Al di la is a... More

Chef and owner-run indulgence for the taste-buds. Food is always excellent, service is always wonderful. This is not a tomato sauce & spaghetti joint. The cuisine is delicate Northern Italian, and reliably delectable.

I live around the corner from this restaurant but never had the time or patience to wait for a seat as they do not take reservations for parties of less than 6. Finally this year my family made a reservation and took me for my birthday. What a phenomenal meal! We ordered 1 of almost everything and shared. I didn't... More

Huge negative discussed in the last paragraph - otherwise great. Beautiful ambiance - perfect for a small group or a date. It's a very intimate setting, but the ceilings are tall and you don't feel crowded. It is upscale, but it's not stuffy. Portion sizes are not large in keeping with the vibe of the place. On a Wednesday evening... More
