My husband wanted to eat at an italian restaurant in New York. So not to be disappointed i looked in the Eyewitness travel Top 10 New York City guide and we choose this restaurant. We wanted to leave Manhattan because everything seemed to be expensive and we wanted to experience a different area. So we chose this restaurant. The restaurant... More

This was my favorite meal that we had in NYC. We came out to Brooklyn for drinks and dinner on only one night during our trip, and we were so lucky that we chose to have dinner at Al Di La. We came on a Wednesday night and actually didn't have to wait for a table, which was also rather... More

We arrived at the restaurant about 5:25 (they open at 5:30 on Sat) and there was a line of about 20 people. The restaurant filled up pretty fast - about 5 minutes after we were seated. The food and service were terrific. I had the linguini with clam sauce and it was excellent. Portions are small, so I would recommend... More

I last ate at Al di la about three months ago. It continues to deliver. The ambience is festive, but crowded. Too many families with very young children. The food is reaonably -priced. The soup was a wintrer squash, kale, etc concocgtion and was delicious. The pastas were spaghetti with clams and a fettucini - both delicious. Meats were pork... More

Last year my wife and I and several friends went to the Emilia Romano region of Italy and had a private tour of a winery in Imola Italy. When the tour guide, who was also an owner, heard we were from New York she told us that we must go to Al Di La in Brooklyn. She said that whenever... More

We’ve been there with a group of 10 (4 kids included). Without reservation there is definitely no chance at all to get a table for 10 so keep that in mind. We ordered different appetizer such as mussel, seppia & oxtail, carrpaccio and shared the same but went for individual main courses. In summary: all dishes ordered, the pasta, fish... More

Only went for a quick lunch but wished we could have spent longer in this great Italian eaterie. Delicious soup of the day for the adults and scrumptious pasta for the young ones.Attentive and friendly service.Nice rustic atmosphere.

This is one of the best places to eat in Brooklyn. We had dinner here on a Saturday night before a concert at the Barclays center. The restaurant is always crowded so make a reservation for sure. The ambience is very Brooklyn cozy. The food is a twist on traditional Italian food. The portions a bit small but food quality... More
