I came with my family - it was 10 of us. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the service was nice. The food was excellent, I found the menu original with a nice variety of products. Highly recommended, one of the nicest restaurant in the area, and good value.

We made a short visit from DC to NYC to visit our daughter in Brooklyn. She surprised us with a dinner out for our 31st wedding anniversary. Danielle, the hostess, was delightful and accommodating. They do not accept reservations so we waited about 40 minutes (as she promised) at the oyster bar nearby at her suggestion...... their bar was closed... More

My coworker and I went for dinner here while staying in Brooklyn and were not disappointed. We had a fantastic appetizer with homemade mozzarella and a delicious special of pasta topped with a duck ragu. Fantastic! I would suggest sitting in the bar area, which is around the corner from the main restaurant. It is dark, cozy, and cool in... More

Our visit purely based on the high TA rating, reading the menu made us a bit sceptic but the dishes and desserts were definitely worth the visit, delicious and not something we eaten before.

Al Di La has all the regular Italian dishes, I have had a few, all good. However I recommend you get their fish special if you are in the mood for fish. Many Italian restaurants I when I have had their fish has been what I had hoped for. Not so here. My fish entree was really nicely prepared and... More

We went to Al di La for a birthday dinner hoping for some simple Italian food and we weren't disappointed. We enjoyed a variety of dishes from pasta, to tripe, to sardines as well as meat dishes. Without exception everyone at our table was pleased with the quality of the ingredients as well as the excellent wine. The atmosphere was... More

Waited over 40 minutes for order to show for a table of seven. Soup was tasty but Escarole salad was microscopic in size compared to its $13 price tag.

A neighborhood staple for as long as I can remember. You are greeted by an actual Italian and it gets better from there. Stick to the pasta options they are all outstanding. Decor is crumbly wall mess, but it works. Very loud and no reservations.

We had a throughly enjoyable and authentic Italian dining experience in Brooklyn. Situated in a very pleasant neighborhood, Al di La is a trattoria that is always full of happy diners, so make sure you make a reservation well in advance - and if you don't, you just mightb get a table at their cozy wine bar next door...

I enjoyed the food, wine and ambiance. The place gets crowded, so the seating is a bit tight. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but you are also getting "homemade" dishes. I've eaten here a few times, and I am never disappointed.
