I've been meeting friends for dinner at Fiorentino's on Avenue U off McDonald Avenue in Brooklyn for several years now. It is by far the best neighborhood Italian restaurant I have ever patronized. Every dish is perfect. We starti with the Italian salad loaded with crisp fennel, artichoke, radishes and sweet peppers. I've had their pork chops, veal chops and... More

We've been coming to this place for over 20 years and it's just as good today as it was back then very reasonably priced good service and the food is absolutely fantastic home-cooked southern italian food at its best

This was THE place to eat for decades. The wait for a table was long and worth it. It has slowly slipped through the years and today we no longer visit. To be fair the wait staff is the same and helpful but the food has changed and it saddens me.

I went here last night with a friend who used to live a few blocks away. This was absolutely delicious! I have to say, it was the best Saltimbocca I ever had. We shared the artichoke and hot antipasti for the appetizer, and the eggplant rollatini was amazing. I don't eat red sauce when I'm out, and I was sopping... More

Growing up nearby, I've eaten here in the past. But it had been 20 years or so since the last time because I live in NJ now. I'm pleased to say that it is the same- same feel, same friendly waiters, same good food. Food here is just as good as the tourist traps in Little Italy. Plus, for no... More

How can anybody give this restaurant an excellent rating. Just went there today with my son, and daughter in law and 2 grandchildren. My son ordered lobster bisque special which was watery with a few pieces of lobster floating in it. It was not creamy or tasteful and he left it behind. Clams oregnato were just okay and eggplant parm... More

Food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful. Portions are huge. There were 3 of us and all the meals were great.

Average to slightly superior southern Italian food, yet you will eat well. The large menu will be familiar to most diners. The wait staff is professional. The decor is pleasant. The prices are very low. Yet the restaurant is worth a detour to the Gravesend neighborhood in Brooklyn. Why? Because the restaurant is an anachronism. You are in another era... More

Went to this restaurant for lunch mid-week and while it was not crowded since it was a late lunch we were treated as though we were special guests. Two veal dishes were served and both were tender and very tasty. Apparently all of the entrees are served with a potato croquette which was delectable and not greasy at all -... More
