Fair warning....it is going to hurt the wallet but this place rocked. We went for our one year wedding anniversary. Portions a tad small but the quality is right on. She had the lobster entree and I had the lamb. Both were delicious. Staff was very friendly and brought out an extra desert for our anniversary. Dress code is strict.... More

From first setting foot on the property our evening was exceptional. The view of the Manhattan Skyline is as good as it gets. The three course fixed price is $115 per person but well worth it. We both had the Wild Shrimp in a white sauce with crab. Fantastic. Our main courses were the lobster and branzino which were also... More

This place is so special. The restaurant is well laid out with great views over the manhattan skyline. My husband and I went for dinner arriving just before nightfall and it was lovely to watch all the twinkling lights start to come on over the city. The food was amazing. I had the mushroom truffle ravioli which was beautiful and... More

We dined here for our 10th anniversary following recommendations from 3 separate people. We decided to go all out and have the 6 course taster menu and the wine pairing. The food was superb and we loved all but 1 of the wines. The staff were extremely attentive and the view spectacular. My only criticism would be the lack of... More

It was our anniversary and everything was great at the River Cafe. The view was phenomenal. Our server was great and friendly. However, when we got there around 6:00 pm, we were amongst one of the first tables to be seated and it was quite hot in the restaurant (before they turn on the air conditioning I assumed.) My husband... More

We went on a Friday, early evening, and were fortunate in getting a window table for two, with great views. OK, so it's expensive, but for ambience, food and service, it's worth every cent. I note that people complain about having to "dress up"....by European standards, it was not too formal and surely it's worth just making a little effort.... More

After been in the hustle and bustle of Manhattan for a few days it is nice to take the short cab ride over the bridge and get a chance to sit back and take in the city. From the moment you arrive you feel like you are out of the city with the pleasant garden entrance, once inside you have... More

Not a great start to the night when the person at the reception was rude to us and then having to wait 30 minutes to be seated at our table as the restaurant was so busy! Also the restaurant is very old school - men have to wear a jacket!! Negative points out the way - lets start on the... More

We spent our Anniversary dinner here and were not very pleased with the quality and choices for dinner. This is fabulous for the view located right next to the Brooklyn Bridge over looking the skyline of New York City however I would not suggest this restaurant. Even though you did reservations months in advance it is very very average at... More
