I was here late night with a friend after a local event this past weekend. We decided to go full-out Polish since Teresa's is a Polish place. We ordered a full plate of mixed pirogies (boiled), an order of 3 potato pancakes with both sour cream AND applesauce, and a full order (2) of cheese blitzes. All was good, very... More

Located on Montague Street, not far from the Brooklyn Promenade is Teresa's Restaurant. It had been in the East Village for many years before gentrification and high rent increases forced it out. It is a non pretentious restaurant looking very much like a diner. Most of the personnel are either Polish or other Eastern Europeans but all speak English well.... More

This is not a fancy place. It is instead a family style restaurant with great home cooked meals and European hospitality. We got the recommendation from a server at the Waldorf and immediately went that night. It is easy to get to once you get off the subway in Brooklyn located on a quiet street lined with trees. I am... More

I like the food in this restaurant and wish to complement its chef - I have dined there several times and the food quality is consistently good... just as its service is consistently getting from bad to worse. The waiters were always unprofessional and even rude - now, they've began to DEMAND an 18% (including tax!!!) "service charge"! I believe... More

We happened on this lovely neighborhood restaurant when we were staying in Brooklyn Heights this summer. It has great traditional Polish dishes like stuffed cabbage and pirogi. There were so many yummy looking main dishes and sides that we had trouble choosing. We will definitely return when we are back in NYC.

My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant for many years. They used to have another in Forest Hills, Queens which closed and may have one still in downtown Manhattan. The food is quite good, portions large and extremely reasonable prices. I was just there yesterday with a client and her daughter and had my usual broiled chicken with... More

Today we decided to try Teresa's. We will never do that again. At first we ordered our food, and a bottle of wine, house red. The girl came back with a Magnum bottle, so instead we asked for the winelist. We've chosen an Italian red, Chianti. Moments later, she came back, that they did not have that wine. In the... More

Decided to try this restaurant for Sunday brunch because their menu looked interesting and there always seems to be a healthy number of people eating. However, my experience with this restaurant was atrocious. Our waitress, God bless her heart, was incapable of taking an order. She got the drink order wrong, she confused a side item I ordered, and she... More

I had been brought up eating Polish food. I was looking forward to this restaurant. I should have read the previous reviews. Ordered the Polish Plate. I know Polish Kielbasa this was the same as buying Hillshire Farms in the grocery store. Nothing like real kielbasa. Pierogis had no flavor. Potato pancakes were perfectly fried but, no flavor. Next time... More

I'm a Brooklyn Heights native, now living elsewhere. I am never disappointed, had the Filet of Sole. It was not super fried. Our waitress was efficient and right on the money. Our waitress was from Kazakhstan, and I enjoyed speaking with her. I belonged to a Sister City group with Almaty, so enjoyed speaking with her. Always have at least... More
