Had a meal there yesterday. All was good, until the waitress brought my bill of $24.95. I gave the young woman $40.00 and told her to bring me my change as I needed change of smaller bills. She ran off and returned with a $5.00 bill and a nickel. I checked it as she ran off. I verified in my... More

Consistently delicious food and polite service for the 30 years I've been going there. Sorry I live in the Midwest now and only get back a couple times a year when visiting friends.

I probably would recommend this restaurant more for those who have experience with Polish-style cuisine, rather than those who are just looking for a place to stop and eat while touring the Heights and Dumbo. Though the menu selections are broad enough to accommodate almost any diner's choices, it's the ethnic dishes that you are really coming here for. Breakfast... More

The food is good (although often the bread in the bread basket is a day old) and plentiful Polish food. Service is often glacially slow and inattentive. In addition, the wait staff is often surly and inattentive. At times, instead of working, wait staff openly chats with other workers while customers wait to be served. The restaurant next door, Montague... More

Menu includes authentic Polish dishes and some typical American fare. All of it is well prepared and reasonably priced. Service is good and generally quick. Restaurant has unimpressive, neighborhood diner type interior so that you atmosphere junkies are forewarned. Strong following in the neighborhood and has been in business many years.

I was here late night with a friend after a local event this past weekend. We decided to go full-out Polish since Teresa's is a Polish place. We ordered a full plate of mixed pirogies (boiled), an order of 3 potato pancakes with both sour cream AND applesauce, and a full order (2) of cheese blitzes. All was good, very... More

Located on Montague Street, not far from the Brooklyn Promenade is Teresa's Restaurant. It had been in the East Village for many years before gentrification and high rent increases forced it out. It is a non pretentious restaurant looking very much like a diner. Most of the personnel are either Polish or other Eastern Europeans but all speak English well.... More

This is not a fancy place. It is instead a family style restaurant with great home cooked meals and European hospitality. We got the recommendation from a server at the Waldorf and immediately went that night. It is easy to get to once you get off the subway in Brooklyn located on a quiet street lined with trees. I am... More

I like the food in this restaurant and wish to complement its chef - I have dined there several times and the food quality is consistently good... just as its service is consistently getting from bad to worse. The waiters were always unprofessional and even rude - now, they've began to DEMAND an 18% (including tax!!!) "service charge"! I believe... More
