Food was delicious!

The atmosphere was very cozy and romantic. The food was top notch! It's always the small places that take their time with the food. We waited a while to be seated (5-10 minutes). My husband had the T-bone steak and I had the shrimp with filet mignon tips. We both had the fabulous mashed potatos... read more

Went there for dinner and the steaks were Excellent. The service was terrible. Had to wait for drinks and had a waiter who was not attentive. But the steaks and appetizers were excellent.

The Rib Eye Steak was the best I have had of any restaurant in Brooklyn! A bit pricey, but well worth every penny spent!

Tried Embers for an early dinner. Everything was great. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was awesome, my ribeye was perfect. Drinks were top notch. Things went so well I got desert and that was great as well. This place is what a steak house should be, well priced with excellent cuts and service. Embers, you have a... More

Went there for dinner. Food was excellent, with the exception of my wife's crabmeat cocktail which was awful. The shame of it is the service was terrible! Had to wait for a server, had to ask three times for butter with bread, crabmeat came after the steaks, had to ask for clean cup for tea, and on. The staff was... More

Its a shame that the tables are so close to each other and you don't have much privacy or protection from loud New Yorkers yelling at each other during their meal. Staff were family members, friendly and personable without being overbearing. We shared the big steak on the bone and it was a generous portion for two people. The waiter... More

I went to Embers because I found a groupon and wanted to check the place out. The lobster salad appetizer was dry and plain. For dinner, I ordered 65$ surf and turf with side of mashed. The filet mignon was delishous as was the chipotle "rub". However, the lobster tail was gross and rubbery and inedible. My wifes NY steak... More

Having moved from Brooklyn almost 3 decades ago, there were several restaurants that we missed. Embers was one of them and we recently had the opportunity to dine there again. The restaurant is still nicely decorated, and doesn't show its age (which has to be at least 30+ years). The service was very attentive and knowledgeable, not overbearing. The food... More

Nice atmosphere. Fair prices for a steak house. I had the filet mignon and enjoyed it; however, it was a bit salty. The mashed potatoes were nice.. Did not have dessert because nothing seemed appealing and most steakhouses have wonderful desserts.

This is my second review of this restaurant in about 12 months. Won't be going back - ever. I/we really wanted to love this place as it does have it's charm. It's a cozy restaurant and has been in the area for decades but that's where it ends. I don't have anything good to say about the food. Fatty and... More
