I ve been going here since i was a kid. This is the first Nathans , its the original. The food here tastes the best. It is very costly , but worth trying. They cleaned up the neighborhood over the years. When i was a kid , it was a little dangerous to be in that area at night ,... More

Went in January so do not know what I was expecting. We went because it was "world famous" and that is a good reason to go. Hot dogs were fine, but nothing to right home about. Go if you want to be able to say you ate there when people talk about the eating contest. Otherwise, it was a skip... More

As much as I love Nathan's hotdogs, my experience at this fast food place was not good. All three of us became very sick after eating their food.

This place is a dilemma for me. The multi cultural staff here speak over 10 languages collectively... and yet, when I walk up to the staff and order in their native language, the replied quickly that they will be reprimanded if they do not reply in English. I want to support their paychecks, but at the same time, I want... More

We didn't exactly expect fine cuisine and mainly came here only because we had visited the boardwalk and Nathan's was right around the corner. We also had of course heard about their "famous" hot dogs. It's fast food and we knew that but were nevertheless taken aback and disgusted by the very, very poor taste of it. Both the french... after a long day of trekking through NYC we needed something fast and hot. This was the spot. Great service with a smile. Delicious fresh fries with ooey gooey cheese on top. How nice they throw in a little fork. A little pricey but worth it.

I have always wanted to see Coney Island ever since I watched for the first time, late at night when I was kid, back in Australia the movie "Warriors". I got to visit this winter trip although it was quiet, very quiet, I still had a great adventure. We got off the train and the first stop was Nathan's famous... More

I've been eating here since I was 5 years old and hot dogs were a quarter. Now there $5.00 and not as good. Many items have been dropped from the menu. All in all its more a ritual to stop here than a pleasure.

You can get their hot dogs other places, but to come here and get the hot dog is to say that you visited the original. The atmosphere is fast food joint and you have to get counter service, I found it a bit chaotic and the table cleaning was lacking. Bathrooms are outside and around the corner. Food is greasy...
