An experience you have to do at least once!

First time dining at the original Brooklyn location. It's an experience from the minute you walk in. Very welcoming servers, from the bartenders to the host, to the entertaining waiters. Been the first time more than 15 years ago, and made a point of coming back every time that I came to NYC. Peter Luger steak is superb, restaurant is overly popular so do not expect the super-duper friendly service that you might get elsewhere in the States, but if you are in for some serious food you came to... Peter Luger remains the premier Steak Joint in all of NYC and still has some of the rudest, but funest waiters around. Not only do they have great steak but also one NYC;s best hamburgers

I find myself craving a good piece of meat every so often and venture across the bridge to visit PL as nobody in NYC comes close to their steaks. However, every single time, I vow to never come again.. This time I may actually keep my pledge. Other than the amazing steak, it is a bonafide dump!! Would it kill... More

Visited Peter Lugers last weekend for my son in laws birthday. I have been a fan for many years and this visit didn't disappoint. Steak was excellent, also had a salmon dish that was also very good. Just be careful with the alcohol if you are concerned about the cost. Always a recommendation to try this historical steakhouse !!!

Been meaning to come here for years, but never make it from Manhattan across the bridge. But took the plunge this time, walking from our hotel on 58th street right down the island so we had a good appetite for lunch. We arrived to a queue, which was still there when we left, but we had reserved so we were... More

Very disappointing. Food was mediocre. My medium steak was way way too rare. And looked to be no different than my sons rare steak. Steak also lacked flavor. Onion rings pedestrian. They may be living off their reputation. Rated poor due to price and expectation Oh well.

Well there was a lot of hype about this restaurant. Do not get me wrong, you will recieve exceptional quality food however but for the price I expect exceptional food with stand alone flavor. We had the steak for two medium, seemed more rare and it left a lot to be desired flavor wise. The bacon was great and the... More

Steak was filled with gristle. Had reservations but still waited 15 minutes. Wine is served like we are at a fast food joint. The "prized" bacon was burned and tasted like grocery store ham. The wedge salad was fantastic. The broccoli was good. The waitstaff was a little slow. The manager was sarcastic. How do they get good reviews? I... More

Quality meats when treated right can really bring you into cloud nine. Peter Luger's steak really is good, though you must consume while hot - can't spare any time to chat over your meal. The creamed spinach and the bacon are good side dishes to accompany your meat.
