The technique of searing/browning the outside of the meat and then cooking it in the oven produced a melt-in-your mouth feeling that was comparable to some of the best sushi I've ever had. T-bone porterhouse for 2 was my choice. Only issue was potato fries (signature) which were much less good than spinach. Overall excellent choice.

Went for the lunch burger, which I had heard marinates in the steak juices-I felt it was a bit of an off/too strong taste, but that could just be me being picky about wanting just a juicy, regular burger . Service was great, though, our waiter was completely on-point. Sundae was amazing and a perfect portion for two to share.... More

This is a classic, very simple steak place. Menu is very simple, but high quality. We did simple bacon starters and some chopped salad and then shared 3 larger porterhouse steaks with sides amongst 6 of us. Great quality, amongst the best I have had, but not the best. Very good atmosphere. A really good experience in a part of... More

Visiting Brooklyn few weeks from now, tried to book a table at this restaurant but they wouldn't accept it because I don't have a local phonenumber in NY. Brilliant.

This was on our list of places to go in NYC. It lives up to the reputation. Classic New York. The steak was fabulous, but the sides are as good as the beef. The bacon appetizer is a "must do", as well as the German potatoes and creamed spinach. The service was very friendly and made sure that we had... More

Peter Luger is a must for every beef loving tourist. That includes me. The menu is extremely simple as most of the choices on the menu are too. We had tomato and onion as a starter. It is too simple too explain but tasted good. The beef was superb as expected; nice crispy outside and tender juicy inside. Very pure... More

We opted to go to Keens for a dinner and follow it up a few days later with Luger for lunch. We now wish we had gone to Lugers for dinner. Their burgers were amazing, the bacon amongst the best we've eaten. The cheesecake was also to die for. Ambiance in the restaurant was simple but felt perfect. No frills,... More
