Long waiting...but what a gift!

I was a little bit sceptic at the beginning...considering all the publicity about this place...but...but...I can confirm that the pizza is very very very wonderful! Discover this place in Brooklyn, absolutely!

I have been going to this place for years, it's a Brooklyn landmark. Many fond memories. Delicious and scrumptious pizza! A friendly cozy place- you will enjoy it!

People really hype this place up, which is why it is always packed with tourist from all over. I've been there once and the pizza is pretty good, but I'm not sure that I would go back because of the discouraging long lines.

I was told that I had to try this place out. I wanted to compare it to Chicago pizza. Grimaldi's vs Giordano's in the Windy City. I liked this place better as far as pizza goes but they have no liquor or beer and no salads on their menu. Huge dislike. The food was okay but tables were crammed together.... More

First a beautiful day to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge, first time my children did it. What gorgeous views all around us, but the best view would be another first for them, the bounty at the end of our trip across the bridge......Grimaldi's pizza. Coming from Long Island they couldn't understand their Dad's adoration of a great Brooklyn pizza, a... More

So this place has the most yelp reviews around and the longer lines so I wanted to give it a try. I had been to julianas before and loved it. I guess the Julianas is from the original grimaldi owner or something. ANyways, this place is good. Better than anything ive eaten pizza wise in california. That being said, I... More

We had the most wonderful and happy experience at Grimaldi's on Saturday, May 23, 2015. The menu is limited to whole pizzas (no slices) and a few calzone-type foods. The crust is fabulous as are the tiny pepperonis! We ordered extra sauce for the pizza and were glad we did. Wished we had ordered extra basil too ~ next time... More

Took the subway (Blue A,C line) from Manhatten to High St. Walked 10/15 minutes into Brooklyn Heights to seek out Grimaldis Pizzeria. Small, cramped, but traditional, atmospheric Pizza restaurant,No liqueur licence at the time of our visit, but pending... Hand made stone oven pizzas ...watching my pizza being made by hand by a team of what can only be described as Artists...was ...magic..and it... More

Such a looooooooong queue. Such a looooooooong wait. Thank goodness they have wifi while we wait for our pizza. It is good if you eat it warm. Agree it is NYC's best of you eat it warm. But if travel a lot, it is no where near the standards of pizzas in Italy. One time experience! I'd not queue for... More

Would not be worth a long wait. We got there early enough and went right in. Pizza was good, when we left there was a long line, our first comment was that it was not that good. Meal was very reasonable price wise.
