Tasty pizza by the bridge

So we read about this place in the guidebooks and fell for the hype. We arrived about 12.30 and joined a short line. The "greeter" was hilarious - a sixty something Italian American that was a charachature of all you know about NYCs famous attitude - he was rude then apologetic, then charming... read more

We waited in line for every with no updates on time. So frustrating! The man at the door was grumpy and did not want to answer any wuestions. Then some people behind us orded take out. So I did the same! The crust was good! That is the only nice thing I have to say! The pizza was the cheese... More

Did some research and heard about this place, it was a little hard to find. But well worth it. Probably one of the top reasons for my return to New York. Looks Like June is in the cards..... There was too long of a line up, ordered take out and went to park at end of street

This place gets packed and it's probably due to its fame (I heard Sinatra used to eat there). Brick oven or not, for me the ingredients were not top quality and the dough was not salted enough. The pizza is huge though - in case you are very hungry. Call me picky if you will, but I've eaten pizza in... More

We read the story behind the neighboring pizza places and wanted to try both out. On our last trip to Brooklyn we started to wait in the really long line here but then realized Juliana's line was shorter -- they're right next door -- so we went there and loved it. This time there was no line on a Wednesday... More

I have always wondered about the best pizza in new york - grimaldi's.. yes, it is good pizza but that's about all.. No need to go to Brooklyn in case you have business there. New York is all about good pizza..

My first trip to Brooklyn and first official Brooklyn Pizza. Flavor was great, coal burning crust taste took a bit away from flavor on burnt spots. Was just amazed how chewy the crust was...very chewy.

Pizzas were tasty hot. Once it cools, the cheese is chewy and heavy. Staff were nice and quick. Good place to eat at the end of the Brooklyn Bridge.

After years of trying we finally got in. We were seated upstairs in a creaky old room full of screaming children. Not good. The service was slow, which must be part of the charm and why the line goes down the block (fyi Grimaldi...get another oven and triple your profits!) When the pizza arrived it was delicious. With my Coke... More

A fantastic pizza. Big sized With the best-tasting dough I have ever eaten. It smells Italy. The chicken was good and also the ingredients tasted homemade. Nice atmosphere and you get value for money
