Our romantic night out venue was a recommendation from friends who've traveled broadly and settled in Brooklyn. We went the whole hog and chose the tasting menu with accompanying wines. Loved the food, especially the artichokes with toast. Appreciated the wine, even the ones that were outside my comfort zone and not really to my palette's immediate liking. Best of... More

Food is imaginative and ideal for sharing. We tried 8 menu items and they were all tasty. The indoor space is fairly small and tables are set close together. The excellent wait staff move around the confined space with surprising aplomb and we enjoyed excellent service from Phoebe. The restaurant allows parties of four like ours two and a half... More

The Grocery has been highly rated for years. And no wonder. The food is imaginative, innovative, flavorful and locally-sourced. The current approach -- small plates -- allows you to sample a broad range of delights. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a lovely evening at the grocery with a multi-course tasting menu paired with wines. The owners presented every dish and wine and are clearly passionate about their menu. From appetizers to dessert and port, the meal was relaxed and delicious. Highly recommended.

This is a hard one.. Sparsely decorated small cramped dining room, There are maybe 30 seats, and since they keep the curtains closed, no peering in from the outside world. It is quite literally like dining in someone's oddly undecorated apartment. Fine with me .Definitely harder to stand the waitress bus tub close to your table. Porcelain from Fish Eddies,thick... We had chosen of The Grocery through the Michelin Guide. After our visit we tend to agree with their rating: very nice. Small, warm, and quiet, a good setting for a good meal with good conversation. The chef is in the kitchen and his wife on the floor. Additional staff are extremely attentive and get out of their way to... More

You have to know that all dishes are appetizers so you need to go with a group. Most choices are veggies with two fish and one lamb. They were ok but not special

We have gone to this restaurant 4 times and the experience has gone slowly downhill. The food is good but the portion are way too small, I know that this is supposed to be tapas size but at an average of $15.00 to $25.00 it is a bit expensive. Their wine list is extensive and expensive and each time I... More

We eat here for the first time last week- we sat inside as the outside, which looked lovely was full to overflowing, which was very quiet but very comfortable and intimate. Greeted by the chef who was fantastic, incredibly welcoming and warm. We got chatting to some regulars who had been coming there since it had opened who were full... More
