Authentic Old Brooklyn Pizza Place

Excellent pizza the way it used to be including decor of joint! Pizza is still made by the owner the way it used to be. You can't find that anywhere! Have been going to this place for over forty years as I used to go back to the neighborhood to visit family. Don't expect fancy---- just fantastic... read more

and then they opened and my world changed... GREAT pizza AND dishes...their sandwiches were fantastic, as well... a number of years ago they were voted the best pizzeria in the ny area and that seemed to be the end of it... prices went up ridiculously AND...the pizza was TERRible... maybe not for a whole pie...but as far as warmups went?... After many years of reading pizza blogs and reviews #1 son and I finally made the pilgrimage from the frozen north to see what all the fuss was about. We took the subway from Chinatown to Brooklyn, which wasn't that bad by the way. When we got off the subway it was just a jump across the street to finally... More

You hear about this place whenever there's a list of best places in the city. I knew the place would busy, but anyway we came from Manhattan we waited for about an hour or a little more (I recommend this when its busy to order a slices not a whole pizza). Overall, the pizza was very good and I can... More

Ist was definitely best pizza I have ever eaten. You may not like the place, you may think it is very slow but be patient and try it. When pie comes out from oven let it rest a minute or two. Mr. Dominico De Marco make each pie individually. Nothing prepared before, only dough. It is out of this world.... More

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. If you're looking for something authentic and hole in the wall, this is the place to go!!! Nothing but fresh ingredients were used which made my slice so much better. Completely worth the money!

Wonderful little place, well worth going out of your way for. Casual dining (can either order by the slice or a whole pie) and you can sit in. Each one is made by Domenico DeMarco, who has been working there since it opened in 1964. It has a slow paced, traditional and relaxed atmosphere and you need to be prepared... More

This pizza truly is delightful, but I'm not sure that it's worth the long wait plus the trek (I'm not sure where you are in NYC, but it most likely is not near this part of Brooklyn). Also, this place has no A/C, so if you're there in the summer, you may very well succumb to the heat before your... More

Living in New York, you hear about this place whenever there's a list of best places in the city. Trekking out here from Manhattan, I had high expectations given all the glowing reviews. I knew the place would busy, and we got lucky that we could order a slice within a few minutes instead of waiting an hour for a... More
