The title says it all. I live in California and getting to the best pizza on earth would be a bit of a chore. Luckily, Dom's son has opened a second store in Vegas ;)

Hands down, my favorite pizza in America! My mouth waters we I think about pizza from Di Fara in Brooklyn. The atmosphere and general appearance could use some love, but if you are ordering take out or a slice to go it's well worth the stop!

I enjoy seeking out really authentic local restaurants when I travel so had heard of Di Fara's and made the pilgrimage out to Avenue J by subway and was glad I did as it was well worth the effort. A few friends and I met just before noon on the sidewalk outside this popular restaurant that's barely a block from... More

This place is renowned for its Pizza as it is done by the very old school traditionalist Pizza maker Domenico DeMarco. I have been a few times, brought a few people, and everyone of them agreed this was the best Pizza they ever tasted. From its initial appearance it looks a little run down on the outside and is out... More

I've been to Di Faras about 10 times so far and I finally decided to write a review. First note: I gave them an overall rating of a very good. This was a tough call. I debated whether or not to give them an excellent, but in a close call I errored on the side of caution. It must be... More

It was my first time in NYC and I just wanted to try this famous pizza! :) It takes some time to get there from Manhattan, but when you get there you can feel Italian atmosphere and devotion. Take time and observe. This is pizza made with heart and you can taste this. But if you come from a country... More

Dominick the owner insists on making every pie himself. No corners are cut here and only the best ingredients are used. Eating doms pie is an experience you won't forget. He's getting older and this won't go on forever but I hope he lives to 120 and keeps working.

Definitely one of the best pizza I ever had, this pizza can compete with the ones I had In Italy, even in Naples. True, the wait is really loooooooooooooooooong, very, very long, so just be aware of that, be patient and you'll have a great pizza. Also, not expensive at all, $5 a regular slice.

Recently I visited my daughter who lives in Brooklyn and I insisted we have our pizza experience for the trip at DiFara only to have my daughter' trying to convince otherwise. I wouldn't listen to her citing article after article on how good the pizza was rated. After traveling way to far into the quaint neighborhoods of Brooklyn we found... More
