Great pizza!

It doesn't get any more authentic then this! Its just the one guy in there that makes the pizzas and he imports all the ingredients from Italy. Its in a tiny run down little building but its so good! It costs $6 a slice and we waited about 20 minutes. We thought it was worth it!

Di Fara is a world famous pizza place and has been approved by Zaggat. So perhaps going against these giants is useless. But please read on: My niece has been visiting from South America and On Sunday July 19th I decided to treat ourselves and a friend Di Fara's Pizza pie. Was closing for the day and we were their... We were staying in Midtown and made the trek out here on a Sunday, arriving about 15 minutes before opening. Even then, there was a huge line already. When we got to the counter, there were no slices left so we *had* to order a pizza... It's really worth it to order a pizza and take the rest to go... More

.!!!! This is a place I would not go to ever again and I DO NOT recommend, service is terrible, the way to order is completely stupid, I placed my order by a window and after that I had to wait outside because they had the door locked and they only allowed customers about ever 30 minutes. They want you... More

I don't recommend this pizzeria. I waited outside for 30 mins for my order and 1 hr to enter an extremely hot space. There was no service and all this for a regular homemade style pizza isn't worth it at all.

I'd actually like to meet the people who give this place a "terrible" review - I'd have to ask if they even like pizza. There will always be a wait for a spot like Di Fara. With its 50 year history, you can't expect something as delicious and authentic as this to come quickly. Guys, it's not Papa John's. The... More

Best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. It was definitely worth waiting half an hour for a slice. I ate a slice of margarita and a slice of pepperoni, straight from Mr. Di Fara's hands... I was in heaven.

Go at an off hour and still be prepared to wait. They make everything to order at Doms pace so be patient. It's worth it. The Sicilian pie is awesome especially with sausage and pepperoni. Try to go during the week off hours.

Travelled from Argentina and been lucky to eat there two times, yes it's two hours wanting for a pie and can be extreme starving but then you need to thank Dom for his talent as a pizza magician and unique tasty NYslice that makes the experience unforgettable, PIZZA LOVERS only!

I would definitely order ahead of time and early because the wait is 2 hours and they run out of pies after a certain amount is ordered. But! you don't have to be there to order, you can call and come back at the given time. It is definitely worth it! The owner makes every pie himself and it's the... More
