Best View in Brooklyn, Great Food.

I visited Alma this past Sunday and could not wait to write its review. Located on a rooftop by Brooklyn Bridge Park, there's no doubt Alma has THE BEST view of the Manhattan skyline. For a party of two mid-afternoon on a Sunday, we waited a mere 20 minutes. Side Note: Alma is attached to B61 Bar... read more

Fantastic location with a great view from the roof. Food was delicious and the service was great. The guacamole was the best I've had in my life.

First time in New York and my wife wanted a restaurant with a view the view was outstanding the food was even better. Could not fault a thing apart from the menus had to many great things on it and we over ordered, after seeing all the awesome dishes coming to the tables.

If you want good, unique, rightly priced Mexican, this is the place for you. The menu is unique, twists to the regular Mexican we are used to. We went there for brunch on a Sunday. We had no waiting and got a table with a fabulous view of skyscrapers of NYC. We had the chilaquile and the oxaca, mamma mia,... More

Really interesting menu, the best guacamole ever and delicious margueritas. I had a smoked trout enchilada which was incredible. Beautiful view and lovely friendly staff.

The food was good and plentiful -- fixed price menu due to it being New Year's Eve. Wait staff was knowledgable and cheerful and brought glasses of champaign around just before midnight. The rooftop dining area was perfect for NYE -- the surrounding windows were sparkling clean and the night was clear, so the views across the river to Manhattan... More

We came for New Year's Eve dinner. Positives Ian was great in email and arranged for us to sit on the enclosed roof terrace. He was very kind and helpful. The view was amazing at night. We even saw the fireworks over the Statue of Liberty. The drinks were fair value. The guacamole was excellent. Negatives There are a lot... More

I was taken to the restaurant as a special treat - and what a treat it was! We had a table on the (covered and heated) rooftop with what must be described as one of the best views of Lower Manhattan across the water, especially at night. The food was superb and the service from the charming girls was excellent.... More

Very disappointing. Not only the place was very dark, very noisy, and where we were seated, the view (one of the attractions normally) was poor. But also, most importantly, was the food very common and even tasteless, compared to other Mexican restaurants tried in New York. And all that for a rather high price.
