Dinner

We had a variety of Thai food and it was all great. Not as spicey as some places but good. It was very busy and we sat close to the bar so that increased the noise but we could still enjoy a conversation. The slight downside was the staff. They were less attentive than expected. Our waitress seemed... read more

Whenever anyone tells me they're going to New York I tell them go to JOYA. Best Thai in the area for a cheap, no frills eat out. The atmosphere is quite loud, so be prepared for that and a long wait. I see a lot of people saying things about racism and rudeness. Honestly it's just a cultural difference. Most... More

We went for dinner Saturday night with 5 girls. Appetizers , dessert, meal. The bill didn't even come out to 90$. The Thai iced tea is to die for. I had two. The meal was delicious friendly clean place. We went right after 7 pm because the meters are up otherwise it's stuff to park on court st. We are... More

My wife and I decided to find a restaurant that we hadn't tried before & and after a brief search and reading reviews we picked JOYA. I hadn't really tried thai before and decided, "why not" so we gave it a shot and we enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to step out of your... More

Can't say a bad word about eating here. Starters were good and of decent portion. Mains were sublime and plentiful. Ok, service wasn't 5* but for $40 for a starter, main and a beer for both me and the wife then you really shouldn't complain. When you're in Brooklyn get yourself here!

My sister-in-law suggested Joya once for an after graduation dinner. Our party was too large to get in between 7:30 - 8:00pm, because the restaurant was packed. From then on, we always do dinners there on the early side, meeting at 5:30 or 6:00pm. It's become a favorite. They always make our party feel welcome. Each of us has favorites.... More

The red curry chicken is my go to when I come. The veggies are cooked perfectly and they bring different spices to the table so you can choose your spice level.

Where do I begin??? Sorry for the short novel folks!! Heard this place had great food, prices and location. I went with my two teens this weekend to give them the whole cool Brooklyn vibe experience after visiting the Promenade and going roller skating. I had to ask about 4 servers if they were the host because I wanted to... More
