We got there on the early side on a Saturday evening, and without reservations had to wait a bit at the bar. They were nice enough to give us all water since we had been out and about all day. Apparently there is an entire downstairs area... dimly lit but decent ambiance. There are some interesting paintings on the walls... More

enjoyed our pizza. enjoyed our drinks. but, we felt as if our server was rushing us from the moment that he took our drink order. also, portion sizes are quite small for the prices charged.

Franny's is an institution. It became so popular on the back of excellent pizza and truly lovely waiters and waitresses. The woman who answers the phone and greets you, however, displays an arrogance and surly attitude unlike any I've seen in Brooklyn. Yesterday she lectured me on why they would NEVER consider cutting pizza's (for my children) as they are... More

Top quality ingredients, perfectly cooked pasta, friendly and efficient service. One of the best Italian food I've had in New York.

I tried many pizza places in NY, from the classics to the most obscure, but Frannýs beats them all for me. Napolitan style pizza as it should be done !

A nice thick-crust pizza, served on a plate with knife and fork so suitable to eat by any preferred method. I did like the taste. Table service was very attentive and specials were properly explained. You would not travel to get here but if in the Park Slope area give it a try.

I'd wanted to dine at Franny's for a long time, especially after buying the cookbook and testing a few recipes. One Sunday, after visiting the Brooklyn Flea, a friend and I drove over to Flatbush Ave. We lucked out, snagging a parking spot directly in front of the restaurant. Even better, we got a table outdoors, with only a five-minute... More

I am surprised the reviews are not better for Frannys. We have heard so much about this place and finally got the chance to visit last Sunday. It was crowded and loud, yes. Maybe a little "expensive," yes, but we are in NYC.. I think all of this is to be expected. The restaurant was clearly a trendy and bustling... More

Grilled zucchini salad topped our experience at Franny's. But everything was excellent, including an organic/biodynamic chardonnay from the Veneto. Yummy. Friendly service, good vibes throughout.
