Great place to meet

This is a great English pub that I discovered walking around Atlantic Avenue.Very pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed their Spiced Orange Ginger beer and I'm not a beer drinker. Jessica, our waitress was very friendly and warm. I liked their delicious Battered Haddock & Chips. Can't wait to go back!

I walked through the door and was greeted with a smile and Hello. Even a couple of the customers were smiling at me. I was warmly surprised. The place is small. I had the fried cod n chips it was goooooood n crunchy. True there isn't much seasoning, but in my opinion if you add tartar sauce it's fine. The... More

After eating at this place with my brother, I now understand why the UK has such a poor reputation when it comes to food. While the fish was extremely fresh (as were the chips), it seems like the chefs are allergic to a little salt and pepper (or any other seasoning for that matter). The fried mac 'n' cheese (an... If you want fish and chips its decent. BUT its very heavy and greasy. I like this place in the dead of winter when I am up for a heavier meal. they will fry anything there...anything! And you can always guarantee a football(soccer) match is on!

This place has really great fish and chips, the cod is giant and tasty. They also have a lot of tasty pies. The chicken and mushroom is really good. They have a variety of sodas and beers you normally wouldn't find outside Britain. If you're not on a diet try one of the deep fried candy bars - Mars bars... More

Had to get the fish and chips! It was good, but the fries were too greasy and soggy so I barely ate them. My husband got the short rib Shepard pie, that was hearty and tasty! The beer is authentic to England as is a lot of the menu options. Great desserts! Fried Twinkie was my fav of the three... More

We have been visiting this restaurant annually over the past 8 years. It has an authentic British menu and the food tastes like home. I love the Chicken Mushroom pie and Chips. Cod and chips is delicious also. The prices are reasonable for the portions. The establishment is small,so if you are claustrophobic then do not go. It does get... More

I eat here about twice a month now. I come back for the fried Mac and cheese which is awesome. I just wish they would deliver to me. The cod and chips are good too. The place is small and is best for two people not groups if you want to togther. Overall good place

I like fish and chips and I remember having fish and chips wrapped in newspaper when I visited London. This place is across the street from my job and so looking for something to get for lunch, I opted for this place. I was disappointed. Their fish and chips didn't have much taste. I would say skip this place; you're... More

Very good fish and chips. Light and crunchy batter and "today's-catch fresh" fish. Ordered deep fried Reese's Cup, Mars Bar, Twix Bar, and banana with chocolate sauce. Just O.K. Our first visit to NYC - loved walking through Brooklyn to get to the Chip Shop - so charming. New Yorkers were so kind and helpful. A great experience.
