The food was great. Where else can you get braised rabbit, sausage stuffed quail with figs, etc. We wanted to sit on the patio but it was pouring rain so we went downstairs into the wine cellar where are long rustic tables and attentive service. Charming!

Convivium Osteria has everything going for itself--great food, nice decor. Unfortunately service is terrible. There was only one waiter the night we were there and the hostess was no help. Not coming back.

Best italian food I've had outside of Italy. Spinach gnudi and rabbit dish were both to die for. Wine list appears to be carefully selected; we took the waiter's recommendation on an italian white and it paired well with the chosen menu items. Definitely would go back when in the area.

So it poses as an Italian with other influences ,Portuguese and Spanish ,maybe. I reality it's just. Rip off being run by Eastern Europeans who are out to screw you for every penny . Food was bland ,tasteless with no favour at all . My rabbit with polenta was dull and the worst ever polenta that was thin crispy an... More

I have reviewed Convivium before. I recently revisited Convivium and it still is a great romantic spot. Wonderful food, attentive staff and an excellent selection of portuguese, italian and spanish wines. Reservations are a must. Convivium is our top choice for a special occasion.

My wife and I had dinner with friends here and had a great meal- everyone's entrees and all the appetizers were wonderful, and the service and atmosphere were great too. Plus, it is only 2 blocks from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, so its a great place to eat before a game or event there.

I enjoyed celebrating an anniversary at this restaurant. The food is Mediterranean, and quite tasty. They have a good selection of appetizers, but my favorite is the calamari cooked in spinach. The restaurant fills up quickly and a reservation is a must. Their wine selection list is extensive, with some of the best Port from Portugal. I enjoyed the Red... More

Our children gave us a night at this restaurant as a gift. It was absolutely superb. VERY attentive service. Incredible food. Great wine. And to top it off amazing desserts! It was all heavenly. My Ravioli di Mele Verdi e Cannella con Ragu d’Anatra was just incredible. I couldn't stop raving about it. Just writing about it makes me want... More

This is a magnificent find in Brooklyn. We have already visited several NY-restaurants but this one is our 'special one'. This is also the reason why we always return. Italian-Portuguese, very fine and surprising dishes, pleasant atmosphere, perfect handling and sound quality/price. A detour to Brooklyn pays off well.
