Great breakfat

Had a great breakfast here. Frittata, egg sandwich and breakfast roll. Good service, well spaced tables. The dish egg in the cloud sounded delicious but ovens not working when we were there. Maybe one for next time.

We took a cab over to Brooklyn with the intention of having breakfast and then walking back over the Ridge to Manahttan It wasn't easy to find a place but this was recommended by the grocery store and what a gem it is. Poppy served us in a lovely manner and the whipped eggs in a cloud made this the... More

After crossing Brooklyn bridge we ended up here for diner. We had to wait 15 minutes before we got seated. The place looks industrial and that makes it noisy. Food was good, for taste and portion size. Service was pleasant. Prices for food are ok but the drinks make it expensive.

I thought the food was good but the wine selection was poor. The menu had a nice variety of dishes including appetizers. We had a mixed antipasto and salmon carpaccio with rucola (recommended). Pappardelle (pasta) with mushrooms and truffle oil and branzino (mediterranean bass); both dishes were good. I don't think it would take a lot to be a great... More

After walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, my wife and I were searching for a place to have lunch when we stumbled upon AlMar. It was a nice surprise. We were early enough to be seated immediately. The soup, sandwiches, and salads were fresh, well prepared and delicious. Casual and comfortable decor. Tables are close together but not intrusive. Service was... More

If the wonderful views from the bridge have left you hungry, turn left from the pedestrian exit, walk down the hill and treat yourself to a wonderful meal.

We met friends here for lunch one day. AlMar serves tasty sandwiches, salads and other dishes. We ordered sandwiches that were very good. Service was good and the ambiance was fun.

We had just crossed the Brooklyn bridge and Almar seemed the 1st good option for having lunch. Industrial-style room with wooden furniture, brunch type of food. My bagel with scrambled eggs, avocado, bacon and cheese was excellent. Pleasant service. To be recommended.

As brunches go, there were sensible, balanced egg-based options. I think most tables had reserved for that time of day, which I take as a good sign. The portions were not huge, which may or may not be what you're after. Their signature dish of egg in the clouds looks impressive, I had pancakes which were nice, an eggy bread... More

Such a homey, warm atmosphere located in this warehouse district. Bench, family style seating in a darkened, busy room. We were visiting with very old friends and this was a perfect spot. I started with the Aperol Spritz, a refreshing Prosecco, Aperol and lime juice cocktail. Their mixed salad was well dressed with a delicious tart dressing. The eggplant parm... More
