We always feel welcome in this warm and intimate space, with a dependable menu and great staff. The food is consistently delicious and interesting, and appreciate the consistent choice of vegetarian offerings.

Convenient for BAM performances. A very good job is done with the usual craft cocktails, even the Mule. The bar and dining room give a vague feeling that Victor Lazlo might be arriving soon. While you are waiting, order the charcuterie, a soup, or a small plate beet salad. Peruse the wine list, in which German wines predominate along with... More

Terrific atmosphere for drinks and delicious food. Loved the schnitzel! The appetizers were terrific too! Intimate dining room that is warm and cozy. Will go to Berlyn again!

We went to this restaurant before attending a performance at the Brooklyn Academy of Music which is directly across the street. The lovely ambiance was accented by gorgeous Christmas decorations and candlelight. The service was prompt and attentive, especially when we explained we had a show to attend. The food was delicious and creative, although not a huge menu. All... More

Welcoming restaurant right across from BAM. Not your typical German fare. We had house pickles (marinated veggies) and a homemade pretzel as appetizers. ihad pumpkin-leek strudel/ steamed veggies and my friend had the duck with German noodles. Warm rolls. Apple strudel for dessert. Our server was excellent. Would definitely return.

I was concerned about vegetarian options, but I needn't have worried. The selection was excellent, creative menu, great service and slightly kitsch but inviting decor. Lovely.

Went twice weekend. Great atmosphere both occasions. Perfect for BAM. Offers good selection of wine and beer from Germany. Food choice is enough to keep you interested. Very good service. The outdoor terrace is also very pleasant. Great spot.

Quaint Germanesque dining room welcomes the pre-theater crowd. Berlyn's German-inspired yet simple menu includes small plate dishes and full entrees. In addition to beer and wine, Berlyn has an innovative cocktail menu that is hard to pass up. From the hot pink cold beet soup to the pot of chocolate mousse, the food was delicious and delightfully unusual. Our charming... More

Formerly the site of a solid Austrian restaurant called 'Thomas Beisl', I am thrilled that the owners of 'Berlyn' did not mess with the space - there's a lot of architectural charm inside and the garden is lovely. It's also easily the closest eatery to both BAM & Theater for a New Audience and that is a huge draw, especially... More

Sat at the bar and had lovely cocktails, appetizers and desserts after a talk at BAM. It's a fantastic atmosphere and the food is delicious. Highly recommend.
