Love the funky vibe of this hopping corner Mexican kachina...decor is fitting and noise level pretty high, but okay. Guacamole was tasty, trio of salsas interesting. I had the chille relano and it was okay, nothing special I eat genuine Mexican in Colorado, this is definitely NYC version-okay but not great!

Even if your not staying in the Brooklyn area, I would still recomend eating here. We lived in Manhattan, and took the subway over to Brooklyn just to eat there. And it was totally worth it! Such a good food experience! And they have the best guacamole I ever tasted! You get good service, and the food does'nt take long... More

We were in Brooklyn to visit family this past weekend. We went there on a busy Friday night. After a quick 10 minute wait we got a table for the 4 of us. The food was very good and the service was excellent.

The guacamole was like paste, maybe it is my preference for chunky style, I did not like it, my friends did. The dished were average, nothing to rave about. However, the building is an old, prewar style. The ceiling looks like an original, with great character of the past. The restaurant itself, is also nicely decorated and has a pleasant... More

Great food and friendly service. Only drawback is no reservations so the wait can sometimes be long. The drinks are great. Try the homemade lemonade. The food is all great and portions pretty big. Do not miss the guacamole and chips which they refill and the different salsas. The tostadas are excellent, as also the shrimp ceviche. Must go.

Great lunch menu for 6.95$ per choice. Food is OK, but not great. Atmosphere is really cool. But since I went there for the food, it's only 3 stars.

This was the best red sangria I've ever had! It was perfectly balanced & super refreshing on the hot humid afternoon that we dined there. We each had the lunch special, a chicken-mole tamale and an avocado tostada. My date and I thought it was perfect in both flavor and portion-size; the price was also reasonable. Fun cozy atmosphere as... More

Had trouble finding good Mexican food nearby but no such problem four hours away in Brooklyn! My lunch combo of a cheese-jalapeno tamale and chicken-mole tostada was perfect; and my wife enjoyed two avocado tacos (which she had there previously). Wait staff was attentive and courteous, atmosphere pleasant. I expect we'll return.

The variety of menu items, the quality of the food, the overall value were great. We first went as a couple, when we came back with our daughter, she looked for an alternative, knowing we had already dined there. She liked the looks of the menu best, and asked if we really didn't mind. We were thrilled she chose it,... More
