Ample hills has some of the best tasting ice cream in bk. I've stopped going over there as much though because the service is falling back a little regarding wait time. They've grown in popularity and maybe management should try have seasonal employees in the busiest months. Try taking your 2 yo to get ice cream and having to wait... More

We went to the Gowanus location and everyone was pretty happy with the ice cream, and the vibe was pretty cool. Staff was pretty good, but not extraordinary. Same with the ice cream, honestly. It was tasty, but I was expecting something "more". Had a GREAT play area for kids. My 4 year old had a blast (even though he... More

My husband loves making homemade ice cream. He happened upon an Ample Hills cookbook and has loved their recipes so when we were headed to NY he wanted us to visit. The ice cream was so fabulous that we all went back and ordered more. Then we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge back to our hotel to burn it off.

Just happened by this place and decided to stop in. It's a hip little parlor that mixes the old, retro feel with a hip accent. The staff was really nice. There wasn't much to choose from as far as toppings that I could see but the ice cream was custom and tasted great. I had a cone while watching Brooklyn... More

After lunch at Bare Burger daughter and son in law took us here. Explored the neighborhood a bit before going in. There's a great pottery store across the street. I had the cookie dough ice cream. There are CHUNKS of cookie dough in there that are chewy (in a good way) and give off a bit of salt (also in... More

OMG! We were on a cruise docked in Brooklyn and had heard about Ample hills from a Conde Naste email. After going to Manhattan, we had time to go for ice cream. This place is fabulous! The servers were really friendly and let us taste. Several flavours before choosing. We decided on the salted cracked caramel and Eat,praline, love. The best... More

After walking around and totally enjoying seeing the beautiful town houses, walking on the promenade, was made even more enjoyable by indulging in Ample hills creamery! I was told the flavor may vary each day, but I truly believe all flavors are worth the calories.

I love ice cream. I call it my weakness - the one thing I refuse to give up. This was truly a heavenly experience. When you walk in, it looks like any other ice cream shop. But, their ice cream is different. I had a scoop of the Salted Crack Caramel and Butter Pecan Brittle - I forgot who I... More

This is perfection. Really. Perfection. The place will fool you. Small and unassuming. But be prepared for heaven. I had the small dish Mexican Chocolate and it was done right with a little kick to it. Others in my party had an assortment of flavors and all were perfect. Who would have thought world-class ice cream would come from Brooklyn... More

I had the Salted Crack Caramel. It was wonderful. I have no idea what my wife, son and daughter-in-law chose because I was too busy demolishing my own. Save to say there was nothing left at the end and everybody was very happy. This is a must-find-and-try-some place, it's not really a restaurant which is probably just as well as... More
