Chef's Table is not a chef's table

It's a bar -- which is fine, because the nigiri they serve is also not nigiri -- all of which summarizes the fused, eclectic and unique experience of the not-chef's-table Chef's Table. As with the best of sushi bars (we live in Asia, so consider ourselves somewhat experts), each bite delectable... read more

A good friend who knows the chef here recommended that we should eat here and pulled some strings to get us a booking. It was the best meal we've ever had in New York. This is no-nonsense fine dining, not the gimmicky rubbish at Eleven Madison Park. The accent is on seafood with only a couple of meat dishes at... More

Six weeks out I did my duty and started calling the phone line for a reservation and managed to get through relatively quickly. So the table was set for our culinary adventure at Brooklyn Fare. There has been obviously a lot written about it...some great, some bad...so I went in with expectations somewhere in the middle. Well, three hours later... More

The intimate setting of the Chefs Table sets the stage for an unpretentious meal that isn't polluted by the stuffiness of traditional fine dining. You instantly feel at ease once you arrive. The staff is welcoming, the environment unassuming and the food exceptional. Don't expect creativity to overwhelm the quality. Simplicity is the theme. Although presentatation can at times be... Chef Cesar and his staff has this amazing, refined dining experience perfectly orchestrated to every degree. The open kitchen which the patron surround is the cleanest and most organized kitchen in the industry. The kitchen staff stays under the radar which leads to quietness in the most important part of the restaurant. The 15 + courses are prepared with love,... More

One of the best meal I've had. Every course was excellent with the best ingredients and perfect execution. Service was excellent. Since it is the chef's table, we interacted with the chef quite a bit. Highly recommended for any foodie.

I must say this is the best dining experience I've ever had and Chef Ramirez was very pleasant and welcoming. I am looking forward to my next visit if I could get hold of a reservation.

If you are a food enthusiast, you cannot miss this place. I must say the reservation system is a bit challenging, but be persistent and keep calling. Located just steps from the subway. Atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated but overall more relaxed and down to earth than some of its peer restaurants. Jackets required for guys; wish they weren't, but... More

Wow. That sums it up. Food was great. Service was great. Presentation was great. All of the reviews about the chef having prejudices- can't believe them after dining here I just think those people made it up. 16/17 courses were utterly amazing. The 17th -- foie gras with crab in a broth- not my favorite but to score 16/17 is... More
