Brooklyn Fare is a staple of the neighborhood. The aisles are clean and the options plentiful. Prices are on par with other independent grocers.

Before I get started, I would really like to say that the food here is spectacularly amazing!!! The one bite sushi-ish courses and the beef blew me out of my mind! However, unlike most restaurants. Once you dine at Brooklyn Fare, there's no denying that a strong opinion of the chef will form in your mind, weather it's good or... More

We went to Brooklyn Fare on September 17th, for the later seating, we went with another couple and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. There are points to previous reviewers that I can understand; Yes, the reservation process is tedious and Yes, the environment can be very serious, however, I think your experience can be guided more by the crowd you end... This has to be the worst meal of my life to date. My friend and i went to eat at Brooklyn Fare for my birthday and it couldn't have gone from bad to worse in minutes. The chef who barely said a word just watched us eat. We weren't allowed to take photos of the food or really ask the... More

I would give it above average but there is no option for this. I have been to several places with this type of small plate tastings. I can say that if this restaurant got three Michelin stars there is another which deserves three as well. I'm pretty sure the there were not 20 courses. And if there are less than... More

The concept is great but for a 1000 $ check, it's definitely not worth it and the no photo policy is a nonsense. The chef is watching like a hawk, which is quite amusing, especially when he makes diva-like faces. I can't say anything bad about the food becase it was good and there was nothing wrong with it but only... More

It's quite difficult to review a place like this. Or maybe not...the thing is- place, food, wine, staff- all that is extraordinary, however among extraordinaries it's quite lame and may leave you feeling dissapointed. Foreplay includes difficult reservation process, strict dress code, no photos policy, small number of people and 3 star chef and that will turn you on without... More

To the comment below, We had reservation at 9:30 pm we were seated next to a couple who wrote the review "STAY AWAY". They had three phones and an iPad on the table. Not only that, they were watching you tube videos with the volume on high, that was kind of rude since we wanted to listen to the waiter... More

Food is overrated. More importantly, chef is mean, manager is ridiculosuly rude. Michelin star represents gracious service and good food. Brooklyn fare is the anthesis of this. The chef sits on such a high horse that even if the food is acceptable it became inedible. No guest who pays 400 bucks per person deserves such treatment. Stay away from the... More

I was particularly curious with the 20-seating format seating at the kitchen which is why I opted to go to Brooklyn Fare over Per Se and the likes. It's a decision that I do not regret! The entrance was nondescript but everything else was excellent. I really enjoyed watching my dinner prepared and was pleasantly surprised that Chef Cesar Ramirez... More
