One of the problems with having a favorite restaurant is that the menu tends to be the same from year to year, usually augmented with a special or two. Outstanding food and service. Fresh and juicy oysters on the halfshell, perfect pork chop with cabbage prepared like my grandmother's. A must to revisit, but make your reservation soon, because the place is tiny.

Perfect for our 26th anniversary. Intimate atmosphere, excellent service and the most wonderful meal I have ever had. We shared the watermelon salad, mussels, salmon, sole and finished the meal with Deliciously aromatic coffee and bread pudding with salted Carmel and walnut sauce. Truly a treat I would recommend for anyone!

Brooklyn now has a few great restaurants but Bay Ridge has been behind the trend. Petite Oven combines delicious French cuisine and great service that always delivers a truly excellent meal. The restaurant is very small, but the food is very good. They use seasonal products and fresh ingredients. When we asked if an item on the menu had tomatoes, the waitress responded that tomatoes are not in season, so they will have nothing on the menu with tomatoes for a few more weeks. I have been going to this place since before I moved to the neighborhood 3 years ago. Excellent food. Really beyond the norm in the area. 'Manhattan' level dining with the personal touch of the manager and chef interacting with the patrons. Highly recommend. Also, the bread pudding dessert is worth a stop over alone.

Maybe I am being too harsh on this place, however for the price you pay, it's overpriced. Even though the food was very good, the decor is outdated. Sorry.

We found this little (or petit should I say!) restaurant when we arrived in Brooklyn earlier this month. We were NOT disappointed, it was an absolutely amazing meal and a great night out.
