Kat's food is always exceeding my expectations. Every bite is an array of unbelievable flavors. Everything I tried on the menu was exceptionally good.

This place is off the charts for me. They have wonderful dishes that ware made with care. I have been here a number of times and always enjoy their dishes. They do not have a large menu but it changes according to the market. Reservations are need as this is not a large place and you need to know where... More

One of the problems with having a favorite restaurant is that the menu tends to be the same from year to year, usually augmented with a special or two. Petit Oven does things differently by changing its menu entirely. The chef is not only talented but well-versed in styles so every time you visit it's like a different restaurant. I've... More

Outstanding food and service. Fresh and juicy oysters on the halfshell, perfect pork chop with cabbage prepared like my grandmother's. A must to revisit, but make your reservation soon, because the place is tiny.

Perfect for our 26th anniversary. Intimate atmosphere, excellent service and the most wonderful meal I have ever had. We shared the watermelon salad, mussels, salmon, sole and finished the meal with Deliciously aromatic coffee and bread pudding with salted Carmel and walnut sauce. Truly a treat I would recommend for anyone!

Brooklyn now has a few great restaurants but Bay Ridge has been behind the trend. Petite Oven combines delicious French cuisine and great service that always delivers a truly excellent meal. Constantly changing specials and the very reasonably priced prefix menu makes for a Manhattan feel neighborhood restaurant here in Bay Ridge at Bay Ridge prices. Kat is the best... More

The restaurant is very small, but the food is very good. They use seasonal products and fresh ingredients. When we asked if an item on the menu had tomatoes, the waitress responded that tomatoes are not in season, so they will have nothing on the menu with tomatoes for a few more weeks. The service was attentive and very helpful.... More

I have been going to this place since before I moved to the neighborhood 3 years ago. Excellent food. Really beyond the norm in the area. 'Manhattan' level dining with the personal touch of the manager and chef interacting with the patrons. Highly recommend. Also, the bread pudding dessert is worth a stop over alone.

The 3 course, $35 menu, is the best deal in town! Throw in terrific food, great prsentation and fairly priced wines and you've got a wonderful evening out. The French trained chef adjusts her menu seasonally and always manages to keep it interesting and delicious. The salmon tartare on a potato latke is to die for! The a la carte... More

Maybe I am being too harsh on this place, however for the price you pay, it's overpriced. Even though the food was very good, the decor is outdated. Sorry.
