Better be good for the price

The pies are definitely expensive, I believe I paid $20 for an 8in pie. They offer three sizes from a $6 personal tart to a 10in pie. Though it is very expensive, I seem to find myself stopping in every few months to fill the craving. Yes, may perhaps be the best Key Lime Pie I have ever had... read more

The lime pie is very good, maybe to sweet for my taste, but good. And it is fantastic to have it on the Valentino pier in front of the sea in the strong wind while looking far in the sea. So romantic !

This is, by far, the finest key lime pie I've ever eaten, regardless of the location. Steve's is one of two places in the entire country that squeezes their own limes and makes them into these wonderful delights. The chocolate-dipped swingles are a little piece of heaven on a stick, and his pies are unbelievable. One bite and you will... More

I'm no expert on key lime pie, but this was absolutely delicious. The plain pie and the one dipped in Belgian chocolate were great - delicate subtle flavours, not too sweet or tart. Highly recommended.

I see that most of the reviews for this place are raves. I'm wondering if I went to the same place the other people reviewed. The overpriced pie I bought tasted like vanilla custard pie, very delicious for vanilla custard, but didn't even have a HINT of citrus to it; not key lime, not regular lime, not even lemon. Maybe... A take-out place with a few picnic tables outside. We bought a small pie and brought it home and really enjoyed it later. After creme brûlée, my favorite dessert and this one is great.

If you can find it (Big sign with an arrow is a clue) you won't be disappointed. Assuming you aren't allergic to chocolate get one of the small chocolate dipped pies on a stick and just skip dinner.

Had a small dessert-sized pie at a local Red Hook Restaurant and liked it so much that we bought a whole 8" pie for dessert the next night. Situated right by the water with a hand-painted sign and a small but homey storefront, Steve's only makes and sells authentic Key Lime pies made with Florida key limes (also for sale!).... More

I love key lime pie and I am sold on this place. It was a little hard to find but once we found the quaint and seemingly secret spot, were were thrilled. Had some there and to go!
