Ferdinando’s. Beyond excellent. The best Italian food I have ever had. Possibly the best food I have ever had. The veal, is like butter. The sauce (gravy, whatever you prefer to call it) is smooth, so, soo, sooo smooth. The cannoli. Heaven. The coffee… prepare to be up all night, baby. And the portions are generous, so there is no... Been coming here for 40 yrs & my folks before me another 40. Recently came to B'klyn and of course, had to come & dine. I was pretty surprised at the change in the sauce (gravy). Obviously, a huge difference in the taste and not for the better. What a shame! Most of the usual food was still quite good,... More

Indescript storefront houses (hides?) the oldest Italian restaurant in Brooklyn. Go there to enjoy the old time flavor, have a conversation with the owner, relax, look at the celebritiy pictures on the wall or re-live the old Brooklyn in pictures. But, it is a restaurant - you go there for food and ambiance. You read about the ambiance; now about... More

I have been going to this restaurant ever since I can remember and even though i moved away from the neighborhood, I still make it my business to return several times a year. The restaurant is pretty much the the same as when I was a kid as if time stopped. The food is absolutely amazing - rice balls, panelle/potato... More

We were lucky enough to be introduced to this place whilst on Fat Dave's food tour. 5 words. Best Cannoli In The World. I thought I knew all about cannoli until I tried the fresh handfilled ones here. OMG - they set the benchmark for the best cannoli on the planet. The pastry shells are baked fresh every day and... Everything is delicious and I keep going back for more! I usually get the panelles, burrata, croquettes, and a rice ball- side salad and an order of spaghetti w/ garlic and oil. This is enough for 4 people. Service is great, prices are great. Really a gem.

Have eaten in this restaurant many times and always get a great meal. It's certainly worth the drive from Long Island. It's the best veal parmigana that I have ever had. Love the atmosphere as you feel you are right in a scene from the Godfather. Great food, great service - what more would you want. Someday I will take... More

Went there with family of 7 and luckily found parking right in front. Just a hole-in-wall restaurant, kind of old looking. But don't let the décor fool you. The food was absolutely great! We all had different things for lunch and everyone raved about their meal. My veal was so tender and the sauce was perfect. Make it a point... More

Amazing hole in the wall place! Authentic Sicilian food full of mouthwatering flavors that make your taste buds jumping for joy. Great menu that is reasonably priced. The owner was behind the counter the whole time smiling and making people happy with his delicious food. I loved everything we ate, and the hot sandwiches were absolutely delectable. I highly recommend... More
