Ferdinando's was established in 1904. It appears to have the original tin ceiling, tile floor and ceramic accent tiles. Appetizer menu is a extensive and entree selection is large. Food is delicious, service excellent and wine and food reasonably priced. Highly recommend. An unusual entree is pasta con sarde, a Sicilian house specialty, and very, very good.

Used to be the best rice ball in the world. Still pretty good. A lot of the charm used to be the authentic south Brooklyn feel. That world has moved on but still really strong food. Great on a weekend for late lunch.

You don't visit for ambience you go there for the amazing Sicilan dishes. Definitely come hungry and ready to share so you can really experience the different dishes. Do not leave without trying the pasta con sardi (not sure of spelling) but incredibly delish. I've had it several times in Sicily & if I closed my eyes I definitely thought... More

Awesome Sicilian dishes. Rice balls are off the hook. I think they have Manhattan special on tap here. If you don't know what that is skip it but if you have a taste for authentic Sicilian specialties try this place out.

Wonderful filling Sicilian food without the frills. I love everything they have especially their Arancini and spiedini ... Made fresh and enjoy with a Manhattan soda or 2. Yummy hidden jewel off the beaten path.

Ferdinando's is true, authentic Sicilian food. I've been eating there for over 50 years! My favorite is the Frutti di mare (mixed seafood salad), followed by a Panelle Special sandwich!!! Their riceball special is also fantastic. If you are really adventurous, try the vastedda sandwich. That's a spleen sandwich....definitely an acquired taste. Everything on the menu is freshly made, and... More

I love talking to the locals. I always get the low-down on all those hidden gems around NY & BK. After a chat with a local antiques dealer, His Lordship and I made the 40 minute trek down to Ferdinandos. After all, if it was good enough for Frank Sinatra, then it was going to be good enough for us.... More
