We loved the lively Brazilian vibes of Miss Favela so much so that we felt like we were in Brazil and completely forgot that we were in NY! Staff were great! Live music from 5pm.

I'm brazilian, so once in a while I have the itch to listen to live Brazilian music, shake my booty while drinking caipirinhas in the most Brazilian setting possible outside of Brazil. Miss Favela does the job but that's about it. The place is extremely small and it gets over packed , the service is absolutely horrendous, they treat you... More

Miss Favela was a averaged priced restaurant/bar in williamsburg brooklyn but as soon as it built a name out of rumors they hiked their price up. Pitchers of Caipirinhas went from $35 to $50 the price of everything else including the food increased significantely. I went for new years and what stood out most was they charged me $6 for... More

Yup, it is tiny, it is loud because they have, by the way, an excellent 6 person band enclosed in a very small place. The food and drinks are the best brazilian food in town, but it is not fancy. Yes, they ask you politely for your table after you finish your drinks and meal. Perhaps the owners should think... More

Went there with my wife and daughter back in March 2013. Nice place, the atmosphere was pretty cool, good band playing Brazilian "samba", food is OK, not great. What I really didn't like at all was the attitude of the manager. The place was packed, lot of people, we were listening to the band playing and kind of having my... More

MUSIC WAS FANTASTIC!! I went there with a huge pack of Brazilian and non brazilian, and we all enjoyed our time. The drinks were nice. But it was way too packed. Slightly expensive.

I went to check out Miss Favela to celebrate Brazilian Carnaval. We ordered a few pitchers of mojitos which were pretty good & the live band played some good music. The restaurant was also broadcasting the Carnaval from Brasil on the TV. I had a few appetizers some were tasty my favorite being the Bolinho de Bacalhau (codfish croquette) and... More

This tiny little restuarant is around the corner from the Toshi Hotel where we stayed. We went here on our 2nd night in New York and it was a good experience. The food was delicious. The Mojito (I believe it was) was delicious. It was an alcoholic drink with leaves in it. You can order a big jug and refill... More

When you go in a restaurant the minimum that you wish, i think is a good service and good food. It is a leisure moment. You need enjoy it. But unfortunately, when I was there i had a stressful moment because the staff were too rude. I did not have time enough to try the food, because i cancelled my... More

We went for their $8 lunch special with friends, tried each of the choices, fish, beef and chicken which came with greens, rice and black beans. All agreed they were delicious, not to mention the Caipirinhas. The colorful interior, open windows, music and excellent service added to the party atmosphere. I cannot wait to go back.
