Enjoyed our dinner at Balti. We had a sampler of a number of different foods, which were served on injeera (bread). We ordered a second helping of the injeera to finish the food. The restaurant was busy on the evening we went there, but service was good. Would be happy to go there again.

Great introduction to Ethiopian food for a guy who hasn't had much of it- and it seems pretty darn good even if you're used to that kind of fare. Flavors you've never tasted, very interesting, and delicious! They do everything right by any standard. Highly recommended.

Although we've enjoyed Greek and other Middle Eastern restaurants, this is our first visit to an Ethiopian restaurant. We found the service to be exceptional and the food to be very good. If you like spicy food, this is the place for you. And the Baklava was delicious.

I've been coming here since they've opened and since day one they've done nothing but get better and better. Both the food and the ambiance. Sometimes the service can be a little slow but really that's only because they're kind of small and have to keep up with the demand of being very popular in the neighborhood. But the service... A friend and I enjoyed dinner here before a performance at BAM. We both love Ethiopian food, so we were glad to find this charming little place: a cozy dining room, a warm welcome, and delicious food. The only drawback is that you might eat so much that you get sleepy during the show! Highly recommended, esp. for vegetarians.

Great food in the heart of Brooklyn. I visited this place on a cold wintry evening and was disarmed by the warmth of the staff. The menu had lot of non-vegetarian options, but being a veggie i had a "Missir Wett" (Split lentils in a stew). I was quite unsure of what to expect, but the taste and the uniqueness... More

This new Ethiopian is ok and deserving of a second visit. The kitfo (raw) was well seasoned, but a bit stringy (to much connective fiber in the cut). The collards were flavorful, but could have used a little more cooking to break down the fiber, too. Now the chicken wot was wonderful as the free range chicken tasted like well... More
