AMAZING!

I was recommended this cafe by a friend and it did not disappoint! Great breakfast, decent coffee (which was hard to find in America) and super friendly/attentive staff. I will definitely be visiting again to sample more of the menu next time I'm in Brooklyn. We went back the next day for round two... read more

My friends and I showed up at Five Leaves last weekend to the disappointment of a 1.5 hour wait. We were starving, and thus opted to dine al fresco (expediting the seating process). Perhaps, not the smartest decision we could have made in the middle of a New York winter, but the top notch culinary creations justified our mild case... More

It was a cold and snowy day when we visited Five Leaves, not so good for wet feet but great as we walked straight into this welcoming restaurant which doesn't take reservations and whose popularity can mean a wait. The restaurant is thin and long, with the bar down one side and the kitchen set at the back. Tables as... More

A delicious lamb shepherd's pie in one of the most interesting parts of Brooklyn. More fashionable and edgy than Williamsberg, and with an array of excellent restaurants, Greenpoint, which is the location of Five Leaves, is emerging as one of the new bohemian areas of Brooklyn city. This place is a haunt of hipsters, and delivers good fare at reasonable... More

We went for lunch and got a table straight away, the tables are packed pretty tightly together but that's probably the only fault I can find with this place. The vibe is totally Brookyln, it's got the whole industrial style going on. The food was amazing and the service was great. Will definitely be back.

Very often much-hyped restaurants fail to live up to the expectation. However, Five Leaves delivered, and then some. We called ahead, and although you can't reserve a table they told us that it was reasonably quiet. Even so, we had to sit at the bar for 20 minutes whilst we waited for a table. No worries as we checked the... More

Five Leaves is a tiny room - prepare to wait or to eat al fresco as there are more seats on the sidewalk than in the restaurant. The reviews here catch the vibe of the place - good food, prepared with care and thought. A virtuous testament to new american cooking that argues that taste and value and a food... More

During my ten day stay in Brooklyn I visited this restaurant three times! It really is that good. The food is great and the waiters/waitresses are really pleasant and helpful. The ricotta pancakes are to die for so definitely don't miss the opportunity to try them. The portions are typically generous!
