My first time in Brooklyn as well as first time in NY. I was very glad to been here with my Scottish and American friend. Yes, the America girl suggested us that area. A zone of Brooklyn which is improving with independent shops and cafè. Nice murales all around the city. By subway, from Lincoln centre, it takes about half... More

Everything about this meal was perfect! The service was ON POINT and the food was delightfully surprising. I was under the impression that one cannot get a decent sized meal in Brooklyn until I visited Five Leaves. My meal was huge and it was easy to see that a great deal of effort was taken to source the perfect ingredients.... More

One of my friends at work recommended Five Leaves, he had visited in Feb 2014, so we added it to our visit list of places to eat during our stay. You cant make a reservation so you have to roll up and take a chance, but its worth it in the end. We had a 15 min wait and opted... More

We were in the City and asked a Brooklyn resident about her favorite place to eat there, and she told us about Five Leaves. A couple days later we found ourselves on a long stroll around Brooklyn and made it a point to have brunch here, and we are glad we did. Located on an unpretentious busy street, Five Leaves... More

In door or sidewalk sitting with great people watching. Mostly a young crowd at the bar but single ladies dining also. Delicious creative menu with great presentation. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and take out available.

The menu is superb and the service attentive. The Flash Fried Oysters appetizer with aioli dip was beyond great....The Arctic Char was delicious and the homemade cavatelli in a brown rabbit sauce was to die for. The atmosphere was lively and the wait staff very attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Brooklyn has great food and Five Leaves is one of those restaurants that make Greenpoint such a wonderful place to dine at. The ingrediants range from black garlic, to fiddleheads to celery root to Dorade to rabbit. You get a bit of everything and it's definitely a crowd pleaser for those that want to eat from farm to table cuisine.... More

I am visiting Brooklyn and was recommended to go to Five Leaves. Glad I did. Sunday night was buzzing but we still managed to get a table. Service was fast and friendly and the drinks and food arrived without delay. We were all hungry after a long walk round Manhattan during the day and the food really hit the spot.... More

2 weeks after eating at Five Leaves I am still thinking about it and telling friends to go--that's a rarity. The combination of cozy-funky atmosphere and solid food is amazing. Interesting cocktails. Tasty apps that show real variety. Entrees that showcase locally sourced ingredients with great fresh flavors. And a price point that does not break the bank. I would... More

I had an amazing braised beef here, it was really delicious. Service was not outstanding but it was ok. Totally worth a try.
