I love that this is labelled a Hipster Bistro

If you're going to be something, no matter what that is, don't shy away from it, right? Well, as Five Leaves is labelled a Hipster Bistro (I forget where I saw that), they might as well embrace it, right? 5 stars for food and ambience. 3 stars for insane waits almost every time you go here! Great space with outdoor seating and a wonderful ambience. Cool spot for brunch, breakfast, lunch, happy hour. Insane waits at weekends for all and dinners at weekends forget it! The Truffle fries are drool worthy delicious! The five leaves $16 Burger is also... More

While locals around McCarren Park may continue to debate if they reside in Williamsburg, North Williaimsburgh, or Greenpoint, there is no debate about Five Leaves! The food here is an excellent sampling of the best the changing and emerging community of Brooklyn has to offer. There are not adequate words to fully describe your experience there. It is something you... More

What a charming, quaint and rustic ambiance for brunch with my daughter in Greenpoint. There is usually a wait if you have a large group. It was easier to get in right away with just the two of us. Both had a lovely brunch. My daughter had their famous pancakes and I had their bacon and scrambled eggs. All were... More

If you are ever in Williamsburg and/ or Greenpoint you HAVE TO come to Five Leaves. This place has been around forever (by NYC standards), and rumor has it it was founded by the late Heath Ledger. Cocktails are classic, food is nice, oysters are great. The only bad thing about Five Leaves: it's practically impossible to have brunch here.... More

We've been here for a brunch, despite the long waiting (which I usually avoid) is been a pleasant stay. Food was very good and I love the attention that the Chef apply all the dishes before coming out from the kitchen.

If you like being served by surly, care less twenty something's this will be your first port of call. The inconvenience of having to serve us breakfast was writ large in the demeanour of the surly waitress and her trendy front of house colleagues. It says something along the lines of let's just get through this so we can get... More

I love everything about Five Leaves but especially their brunch! I always get the Ricotta Pancakes and my daughter always gets the Housemade Granola. I'm not going to expound - just order them both and you'll see what I'm talking about. Try the bacon as well!

I was recommended this cafe by a friend and it did not disappoint! Great breakfast, decent coffee (which was hard to find in America) and super friendly/attentive staff. I will definitely be visiting again to sample more of the menu next time I'm in Brooklyn. We went back the next day for round two but there was nearly an hour... More

My friends and I showed up at Five Leaves last weekend to the disappointment of a 1.5 hour wait. We were starving, and thus opted to dine al fresco (expediting the seating process). Perhaps, not the smartest decision we could have made in the middle of a New York winter, but the top notch culinary creations justified our mild case... More
