Best scorched pizza in NYC

Set amongst abandoned and re-appropriated warehouses, the greatest pizza in New York, and cocktails named for music-based puns. This is the real deal, as long as you accept pizzas should be pretty unadorned, have a wafer-thin base that's been roasted in the seventh circle of Hell, and be plastered... read more

This is the real deal, as long as you accept pizzas should be pretty unadorned, have a wafer-thin base that's been roasted in the seventh circle of Hell, and be plastered with deliciously stretchy mozzarella and not-too-sweet sugo. Great pizza, great place - it's somewhere we would of walked past if we hadn't been told about it but when we entered the whole place was buzzing, such a great atmosphere! We went at dinner time so it was really busy so we ordered a drink and sat outside in the bar area. We only had to wait a... More

My cousin had his wedding at Roberta's and it was a cute little ceremony. Located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, there was some cool graffiti on the walls leading up to the funky, hipster place. We were in the back in the garden and it was a cozy little place covered by a tent. It was a bit small with the tables... More

Pizza was worth a drive. We had 4 hours before our flight and it was a 22 min drive to get here but it was worth it. Very good pizza. Very nice stuff. Very friendly place.

I was staying at a nearby hostel and this place was on the map the hostel gave me with nearby restaurants, shops etc. Wondered where it was as from the outside you wouldn't think it's a restaurant but once inside it's pretty big with outdoor seating too. I'd not long arrived in New York after a long flight (5pm and... More

I first tried Roberta's when they had an outpost at Madison Eats for a few weeks in May 2015. I've had a hankering for this pizza ever since! On my birthday I would settle for nothing else... I HAD to have Roberta's. We took the L train, which is basically around the corner from the pizza shop. This place is... More

The restaurant is really fun, upbeat music and good vibes. Pizza was great, very different flavors from what we're used to. We ordered olives as an appetizer and got a huge bowl of them. They were coated in a delicious spicy oil. The beer was great. We tried one from Boulder, CO which is one of our favorite cities in... More

This is a place where you can get great pizza and enjoy a fun night out in one of the coolest corners in Bushwick. Although there might be fairly long waiting times to get your pizza, you can make your order and drink something at the bar while you wait. The patio is pleasant and I enjoy the atmosphere, so... Roberta's is featured on a number of best NY pizza, but we were quite underwhelmed. While it was good, it wasn't as flavoursome and balanced as other pizzas we've eaten in NY. We tried the four cheese pizza (mozzarella, ricotta, capra con pepe, asiago with arrabiatta and seseme seeds) which quite salty which dampened the cheesy flavour, basically defeating the... More

Me and my fiancé love going to Roberta's for a quick and delicious pie along with usually a special salad to start. Go there early to get a seat, but expect it to be crowded and wait for a while if not! The olives are our personal favorite.
