A Little Italy

Caffe E Vino is a small Italian restaurant in a fast growing section of Brooklyn. When I say it's small I mean it's small. Without a reservation you might be out of luck. I can't imagine you could go there with more than 4. I've eaten here a couple times before seeing a show at Theatre for a... read more

We ate in this restaurant prior to visiting a basketball game in the area. The menu was very limited in its offering, and the amount of food for the prices left to leaving hungry. I don't mind paying good money for good food , but this place is giving you nothing for your money . If you are hungry ,... More

This is one of the few places to get a nice dinner around BAM. Charming rustic decor, can get cramped when very full. Food is good and well prepared; primarily Italian standards. Service can be an issue - sometimes I've seen only one waiter run around and try to do everything, so he is very harried. Truly a good choice... More

Reserve early next time you have tickets to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) or Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA) 'cause Caffe e Vino is not too big, but it's right around the corner at 112 Dekalb Ave. and it's a winner! Its menu is basically Italian with a good variety of dishes, a good wine list and fine... More

Visited once for brunch and had an enjoyable meal. Suggested to our friends, also Brooklyn locals, for a dinner together after a movie. Overall, the price point would suggest a better restaurant than this was. The food was uniformly bland, the mussels out of the shell (a special appetizer) were not fresh (we were lucky it was a skimpy portion)... More

I ate here before a show at BAM. I arrived a little late because of traffic, but that was okay. The food was great and the service was quick. This restaurant knows that much of its clientele is going to BAM so they have it down to an art. I recommend this restaurant for its atmosphere, speed, and really good... More

Three of us went there to eat prior to going to the Harvey theater. The tables are close together as others mentioned. We were the first there with a 4:30 reservation and the door was locked when we arrived but they opened it for us. The waiter didn't know what the specials were yet-said the cook was working on it.... More

had eaten here last year and while it was very tight seating, the food and service were good. unfortunately, this is no longer the case (except for the sardine experience). the food was mediocre and not hot enough. the service was awful! no bread brought to our table. had to ask for grated cheese and an extra plate a few... This is a great place to eat when you attend an event at BAM in Brooklyn. It is a five minute walk and the food is excellent. In fact, for the money, it may be the best value in NYC. We had their fabulous fennel and orange salad, followed by the special pasta dish of the night of scallops and... More
