I had never been here before, so relied on lots of positive reviews. We had a short walk from BAM, and arrived between lunch and dinner service. Although I had few expectations, the restaurant was a pleasant and welcoming place, reminiscent of the small family restaurants of times past. The food was excellent, fresh pasta prepared with yummy toppings. The... More

Don't tell anyone... This is a true gem. The best Italian fare in New York. We go there once a week, very consistent. Staff is very friendly. Best dish is veal and ricotta meat balls. Always have a great variety of daily specials. Try their Neto Davolla red wine.

Food choices were varied and superb. Authentic Italian cuisine. Wine choices also wonderful. Service was personable and they seemed to really know about the food they served. From appetizers, to dinners, and also desserts; everything was flawless. A "must try" in Brooklyn... Soon to become your favorite!

We were off to the Brooklyn Academy of Music for an event and ate here beforehand. They clearly understand pre-theater timing - everything went like clockwork. The restaurant is charming - comfortable - welcoming and warm on an autumn night. The tables are large enough so that you don't feel cramped as you often do in smaller restaurants. But the... More

This one of my favorite places! I always come here. It is perfect for brunch, dinner, and after hours. I enjoy bringing family, friends and neighbors here. It is simply wonderful for special occasions. They have wonderful menu to choose from. The specials are great. The menus that are designed for occasions like Valentine's Day are superb! The staff and... More

We had this restaurant recommended from our hotel, Aloft. It was a nice place to visit. Friendly service, good food, although the wine wasn't Italian. And Mr. Waiter, place your bet on Denmark. Money in the bank.. ;) Lovely atmosphere as well.

Lovely, unassuming restaurant with very good food, not expensive, a 3-minute walk to BAM. Friendly, warm service. We had these good dishes: yellow pepper soup, eggplant rolatini, fettucine with veal ragu, meatballs, sauteed spinach, espresso, biscotti.

This is a warm and inviting, authentically Italian restaurant with reasonable prices and, despite the great atmosphere and delicious food, it is rarely crowded. It's great to stop by before a show at BAM or after a walk around Fort Greene Park. The menu changes frequently, but they almost always have a ravioli and that's what I ate last time... More

I cannot speak to the surroundings for this restaurant as I visited at night, but I do know it was just a 15 minute walk from the Aloft Brooklyn. We visited this restaurant after we Yelped Italian, which my daughter was craving and we were not sorry. The waiter was Italian, which made our visit feel all the more authentic... More

This restaurant is across the street from Fort Greene Park which is a nice place to take a walk. The restaurant is small and has a neighborhood feeling to it. Service was outstanding. The pasta fagioli soup consisted of pasta and the remainder of the ingredients were blended in a sauce. Tasty but a different presentation that what we were... More
