Friendly Diner

The service was friendly and our lunches were tasty (BLT, Fish Sandwich, Fries, and Onion Rings). We enjoy finding friendly diners when traveling, and C&J's hit the spot.

Finally, a burger, and fries joint with the perfect balance of cleanliness and comfort -- not to big or small, everything is just right! Ever had a raspberry shake? So good! glad I changed my mind from strawberry. My wife had chocolate. Compared to other places we've tried in Fairbanks, the prices are good too. The waitress was friendly and... More

We've eaten here several times. We've never been disappointed although we have heard many bad things. I love the Texas straws and I've had many sandwich options and have been pleased every time. I hear their shakes are great!

Sooo disappointing. I was feeling peckish so I ordered their top of the line Alaska Burger. The meat patties were wafer thin with NO flavor whatsoever. I may as well have eaten the wrapper! The bacon was transparent, dry buns with very little condiment, and the lettuce, tomato, and pickles were skimpy and wilty. Now, the fries - standard out... More

I was very disappointed in the food here! After reading some reviews and they state that it is good food, it really isn't. I got their Alaska Supreme Burger, which is the most expensive burger and it was SMALL!!! It tasted ok, but it wasn't special. It was 3 patties, bacon, and cheese on a hoagie style bun. You would... On their mushroom swiss burger they used canned mushrooms and they didn't even sauté them. GROSS! Truly dissappointed all around.

A little greasy, but fast and delicious. Not the best location on S. Cushman. But yummy for sure

This is a land mark in this town, but I'm baffled by how they are still in business. I've tried this place more than once and each time I regret it.

I am very surprised to read some of the demeaning comments posted about this business. I have lived in Fairbanks since 1982 and have found that I can still today get the same quality and atmosphere I got over 20 years ago. C&J Drive In, with its 50’s era and motif is a dying breed. Though we here in Fairbanks... More
