I went to a birthday dinner with some friends just a few nights ago. I had a 16 oz. steak dinner, which was about $27.00, and my wife had the Shrimp Scampi, which was about $25.00. My steak was fine (medium rare), but two of my friends ordered theirs well done and they were cooked well beyond that point, charred... More

My friends wanted to come here for brunch and I went along. Brunch is an all you can eat buffet and the food was tasty, nothing out of this world, but still nice. I only ate one plate and I was full. I completely forgot how expensive buffets can be. Brunch is $25 a person. I understand why they are... More

I had never eaten reindeer before, so when I saw reindeer tenderloins on the menu I knew that I just had to try them. I would definitely recommend this dish and this restaurant because it was by far the best place we ate at during our trip to Fairbanks. We started with the seafood chowder which was excellent. I had... More

My husband and I decided to try the Pump House because we wanted to sit by the river and had heard good things about the restaurant. We walked in and it was hot in the restaurant, people had sweat stains and I knew instantly that I didn't want to sit inside. We asked for a menu while we waited to... More

We enjoyed the food and artifacts. The location is wonderful too, right on the river! We go there every time we go to Fairbanks (3 times so far).

Business dinner at the tail end of winter. Eclectic menu with good selection of local food and beer. Service was prompt and enjoyable. Good atmosphere and comes highly recommended even by the locals. Restaurant was not too busy but that might just be because it was Sunday night. Definitely recommended

Make a reservation on the weekend!! My wife and I showed up and there was a two hour wait. Luckily there was a spot at the bar and we cozied up. The bar staff is excellent! The drinks are good. The bar food is also good. There is a couple pool tables and some nice chairs to hang out in... More

Chose the blackened salmon salad. Was surprised to see an entire romaine heart on my plate uncut. I eat lots of salads and often complain there was not enough lettuce, but not so here. I just expected it to be cut. The sauces and dressings were fabulous and the salmon was excellent, not fishy, perfectly flaky. We did have to... More

We ordered an Alaskan salmon dish, but the portion was disappointing and the salmon was pretty dry. It might be because it's not the salmon season yet. Nevertheless, our server is friendly and the atmosphere is good. I wouldn't say the 30-min wait was worth it though.
