Dine surrounded by history

The dark mahogany bar and turn of the century decor compliment the fresh selections. 8 beers on tap and a decent wine list make dining here a pleasure. They offer lots of outdoor seating that is right on the river. This pump house was originally used to provide water to hydro-powered mining. The... read more

This was one of our favorite places we ate in all of Alaska! It is a very neat location with authentic antique decorations. It was too cold to eat outside, but looked like a beautiful view if you could. The service was great! They have a nice varied menu, which is good for someone like me who does not enjoy... More

OMG, this is so much better than dry socks and clean underwear! Five days of wearing all your clothes, three layers deep, crawling into wet muddy tents and constantly moving to stay warm in a Denali blizzard was so worth a meal of Alaskan stew (raindeer sausage, king crab, silver salmon and scallops). The meal was pure heaven!

We had dinner at the Pump House Restaurant tonight, and, as always, the service and atmosphere were wonderful. My husband had 3 small plates: a green salad, seafood chowder, and fish "nuggets", all of which he said were excellent. I had the Black and Bleu salad, and I've learned my lesson: never again. The salad part was delicious, but the... More

We visited the Pump House twice during our stay in Alaska. The first time I had an all seafood meal and found it very good, fresh tasting and well prepared with no indication that the ocean it came from was over 300 miles away. The second trip I was in the mood for steak so I ordered the Rib eye.... More

We took our family to this restaurant for dinner while in Fairbanks. It came with great reviews. I ordered the Reindeer Tenderloin. The berry suave was very good but the tenderloin was not spiced at all. It was ok. Other meals ordered were average with a 5 star price. OK food the was 3 star at best with 5 star... More

We had dinner at the bar and were pleased with the atmosphere of the bar. Lively and very american! Food was good (I ordered halibut nuggets) and the staff was nice and efficient.

This was the third time I've visited this restaurant and it is a must visit if you're in Fairbanks. It's position on the river is excellent and if you get a table on the balcony even better. Their food is great with lots of local choices, The service was excellent.

Great location on the river and they have an outdoor deck to enjoy it. Indoors, the rustic decor, similar to a Cracker Barrel, makes for an informal atmosphere to enjoy with friends or family. The server was knowledgable about the menu and friendly. Food was prepared as described. The seafood chowder is unbelievably good. Also had king crab legs and... More

Went for a drink only here. Service was fantastic and beer was good. It was a sunny afternoon and we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view but only the inside was open....???
