Great place for an outdoor drink.

Didn't eat much here but drinks on the river are great here, it is an ideal location, lengthy menu with lots of options, and a good beer list. A lot of pub food and good service, I would recommend this to anyone passing through Fairbanks in the summer especially on a nice day.

We were here celebrating a birthday, and feeling adventurous, tried the "reindeer tenderloin." It was fabulous - juicy and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The interior was fun to walk around and look at: the usual taxidermy exhibits were mixed with beautiful antiques. Our waitress was new and nervous and did manage to drop a wine flight, but made good on it with... More

The Pump House was recommended to the business associates I was traveling with by those we were there to see in Fairbanks. It was an excellent recommendation. The place does not look like much from the outside but is very nice on the inside and has a great, rustic-like atmosphere. The wait staff is friendly and proficient and the food... More

Went to bar for dinner, 3 out of 4 of the entree were uneatable. . only decent thing was the calamari. The service was bad also. And dont bother trying the strawberry lemon drop.

Great food and great atmosphere. A bit pricey but worth it. The waiter was excellent - very attentive. I had the grilled halibut with pineapple salsa and my partner had bacon wrapped scallops. Both were very tasty.

I visited the Pump House on a Sunday evening in late April and was very satisfied with the meal. I had the halibut fish & chips and the fish was prepared perfectly - crispy battered coating yet the fish was moist and tender. The sides were also delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this establishment.

I went to a birthday dinner with some friends just a few nights ago. I had a 16 oz. steak dinner, which was about $27.00, and my wife had the Shrimp Scampi, which was about $25.00. My steak was fine (medium rare), but two of my friends ordered theirs well done and they were cooked well beyond that point, charred... More

My friends wanted to come here for brunch and I went along. Brunch is an all you can eat buffet and the food was tasty, nothing out of this world, but still nice. I only ate one plate and I was full. I completely forgot how expensive buffets can be. Brunch is $25 a person. I understand why they are... More

I had never eaten reindeer before, so when I saw reindeer tenderloins on the menu I knew that I just had to try them. I would definitely recommend this dish and this restaurant because it was by far the best place we ate at during our trip to Fairbanks. We started with the seafood chowder which was excellent. I had... More

My husband and I decided to try the Pump House because we wanted to sit by the river and had heard good things about the restaurant. We walked in and it was hot in the restaurant, people had sweat stains and I knew instantly that I didn't want to sit inside. We asked for a menu while we waited to... More
