We were so excited to eat here. Had read all about it on Trip Advisor and Guy Fiery was here so it must be good. Well it wasn't really worth it. The wait for breakfast was really long (saturday morning) and the food was honestly just really bland. The staff was really sweet, and service was great. But the food... More

Love their breakfast but I have to say that the Reuben was the thinnest and completely lacked flavor more than any other I have ever had world wide. Even the sauerkraut could not be tasted. My wife had the cheese steak sandwich and felt similar. They did offer to bring me something else when I refused to eat more than... More

The first thing you notice about the Cookie Jar is the full parking lot. This restaurant is always busy and full of locals. That is a good sign. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The last few times I was here the wait times were awful - not so this time. The place was busy, but we were at our... More

It's hard to know how to describe the Cookie Jar Restaurant. Quirky is one word that comes to mind. Imagine a place that features prime rib and steaks, yet lacks a license to sell wine and beer. Having a glass of milk or cranberry juice to accompany your carnivorousness just seems wrong. Imagine a building that Siri can lead you... More

We stopped here onthe strength of the ads we saw for a late lunch. Food was good, service was quick and the server was very friendly. prices were consistent with what we had experienced in other places in Fairbanks.

On my fourth trip to Fairbanks this was the first stop I made for dinner. I love their halibut fish'n'chips with the dill-flavored tartar sauce. The fries are fine (I skip the dinner roll; for some reason I don't care for it) but the fish and tartar sauce are delicious. I also enjoy the salad and love the spice on... More

Breakfast was fresh and huge. I would split a meal the next time. Service was very efficient and friendly. I wish we had the opportunity to go back to try the desserts.

Friendly staff, good prices, very good eggs! It was packed on a Weds night, enough so there was a 5 minute wait just for a solo eater. It's just.. the bacon. The bacon didn't taste - at all - like bacon. It came cold, and hard, 4 slices I took one bite of and pushed away... and I *love* bacon... More

Informal, down-home, cheerful, smallish. That's The Cookie Jar. They serve the kind of food you're familiar with and enjoy, in sufficient quantity that you'll likely get a to-go box. We went for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and tastiness. There's nothing exotic on the menu, and no over-priced specialties; just eggs, meats, pancakes and the usual breakfast... More

Every time we go to the Cookie Jar, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and they make you kinda feel like family. Speaking of-it's somewhere my entire family agrees on going to! Oh-don't forget to pick up some cookies to go!
