We tried this restaurant as it had been featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. I ordered a cup of homemade mushroom soup and Reuben sandwich. My husband had chicken with pasta. Very friendly service, large portions so we ate leftovers the next day, reasonable cost, and the food was delicious. They had huge cinnamon rolls which would have been... More

This is a must try restaurant. We met someone in Anchorage who, when finding we were heading to Fairbanks, suggested we needed to try this restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service, but I think I ordered the best meal. The prime rib sandwich is just that, it is a generous slice of prime rib on toast. The meat... More

Great food and wonderful friendly service. A little pricey, but then again everything in Alaska is pricey. Once featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives.

Went here because of positive reviews on it, we were seated right away, we had a burger & fries that were pretty darn good but pricey, and had some club sandwiches which were under hot sandwiches, but were stone cold when they got to us, therefore the handmade thick wheat bread cold and toasted was hard and tore up the insides... We just stopped for sweets, but the breakfasts looked awesome too. We got a huge cinnamon roll that fed four people. Definitely worth a try.

We have family in Fairbanks who love the Cooke Jar! They took us when we visited and we loved it, too! We were impressed by the variety on the menu and the wide range of options for kids. Service was a bit slow on the day we had dinner there, but our family said that this was highly unusual. Save... More

Justin was an excellent server. Got us in and out quickly for the long ride home. The food was good. Nice place and workers were kind and courteous.

This is another of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured eateries and lives up to all the good things he had to say. The food is plentiful and good, the prices are reasonable, and the wait staff is extremely friendly and helpful. From the pastry display in the front entrance to the final bill the restaurant is enjoyable. Breakfast... More

Our family ( grandfather, grandmother, daughter, 16 yr old grandson, and 14 yr old granddaughter) spent four days in Fairbanks. We ate at the Cookie Jar our first night and we're hooked. Breakfast for dinner...yum. Grandson and grandma loved Nolan's stuffed and Nolan's own breakfast. The Philly cheese steaks sandwiches were a big hit. With the large serving portions, dessert... More

My husband and daughter loved their breakfasts, but I was put off because their breakfast options didn't include a non-pork meat option, like turkey or reindeer. It was also a bit busy for a late morning and I wasn't as impressed as I thought it might be. We chose to eat at other places for the rest of our stay... More
