We made one stop at this restaurant after visiting the Museum at the University of Alaska. It was not crowed, thus the service was fast. The cheeseburger is huge! The cookies at the entry are delicius but a little expensive. We got a 10% discount after our stay at the Moose in the Garden B&B.

Went here for breakfast while visiting my daughter. It was a quaint place and smelled heavenly when we walked in. The restaurant is very bright and the waitstaff were friendly and patient (we had a 4 year old and a 2 year old with us). My daughter ordered their cinnamon roll and it was the size of a small cake!... More

Been there several times for breakfast. The skillet plates I get are always good, never had a bad one. The cinnamon rolls are gigantic and delicious also. Service has been average and prices, well it's Alaska. Everything is expensive.

Since last spring I've come here probably 8 times. I really wanted to give this place a good go but there is nothing spectacular about this place. Even I can make better cookies. This evening was the breaking point, we came in for dinner around 6 it was slow, there was a large party of nine and probably a handful... More

Recommended by hotel staff. Not great but good food with large portions. Very friendly staff. Cookies were great.

We went for lunch. It's a very clean, cute place and it's walls are lined with, what else, cookie jars! Where else can you find a Marilyn Monroe cookie jar? My boyfriend had a country fried steak which was prime rib inside. It was huge and delicious. We also bought the biggest cinnamon roll I've ever seen and shared it... More

Excellent find, family of 4 spent $70 but bought cookies and sweets (in which their famous for). Must go if visiting or living here. By the way, the cinnamon rolls are about the size of a small house!

We visited the Cookie Jar for Lunch...I wish we had been able to get out there earlier for breakfast as everyone who was enjoying breakfast looked like a great meal. We had a cheeseburger and the monte cristo sandwich. Everything was fresh and the bread items were great. It was still very busy at 2pm, although we got in right... More

The only place where we had to wait a bit for a table-- and this was for lunch! I had french toast, hubby had a spinich salad. Trivia booklets at every table.

Eggs were powdered and bad tasting even for powder. Cinnamon rolls not cooked through. Sad to say I had them several times before I gave up.
