Unique Cuisine

It is an outdoor spot. The farthest north falafel stand in USA or probably anywhere. Very nicely presented falafel and tasty with homemade/fresh ingredients and pita bread. Very reasonably priced. Middle eastern cuisine. A unique experience in the far north.

The wait staff was very friendly and enthusiastic about my first visit and the food came out fast as I watched it get prepared. All ingredients were very fresh and flavorful and a great healthy food option. The only other thing is this is a vegetarian place only which surprised me. Great place, I plan on being a regular.

I love their spicy falafel. I eat a whole one to myself, but they are easily sharable. My nephew even likes to go here with me and he eats his whole half!

Always very flavorful. Definitely worth the wait! They only take cash or checks though so come prepared. They offer baklava also. It's so-so.

OMG, so good! I begged the owner for the recipe and secret to making the falafel taste so good but he wouldn't divulge... although he gave me one tip; make your 'batter' not too wet and not to dry. Wish this place was in my town, they have great food!

I was craving Falafel after visiting Israel and this place hit the spot! Introduced these hearty sized falafel and hummus to my teenage nephews and they loved it! There are seats outside the walk up window food shack and parking area is good. The workers are very friendly, fun and courteous.

I don't visit the Pita Place too often because I like to change my food options up, especially in the summer when the Farmers Market and other food trucks are open. Pita Place is also located at the UAF Woodcenter, so if you need to get your Falafel fix stop by the Woodcenter during the winter months. Pita place is... More

If you love Mediterranean food, you will love the Pita Place. Great hummus and falafel. Great prices. Typical Fairbanks low-key, road-side fare… Can't wait for summer!

Pita Place is the real deal! Best Falafel in town, or Alaska for that matter! Very friendly and professional, a bit pricy, but extremely tasty! We will be back again for sure : )
