Tourist-of-Alaska experience

Located inside pioneers park, you pay $32 to an all you can eat buffet of barbeque (rib eye, salmon and batteed cod), salad (varied), soft drinks and dessert. Very casual and outdoorsy (although there are some tables indoors). Food is ok, nothing much, didn't like any of the desserts, but... read more

While the meat, salmon and cod were good the rest was well below average and the atmosphere is that of a company picnic with plastic furniture. The theatre Revue next door was fantastic but don't recommend the salmon bake.

I had the prime rib and beer battered cod. It was delicious. The service was great. I loved the housemade Tatar sauces. They offered a discount for military and locals which was nice.

THE Alaskan eating experience! In Pioneer Park, which is a go to place anyway, but when combined with Salmon Bake, It IS an experience that you will NOT forget! The opportunity to eat your fill of fresh grilled salmon AND cod along with a great wine selection and the chance to meet many new friends should not be missed. When... More

Located at Pioneer Park, it's an event NOT to be missed. Food was delicious with good portions. Have a great dinner and meet people in a picnic atmosphere. Afterward take a stroll around Pioneer Park. A great visit.

Personally, this place is one not to be missed for a great meal, at least once a year, if you are local. It might be a family outing, or no event at all, outside of great food. To the traveler/s, this is something not-to-be-missed. and hard to miss if you're walking around "Alaskaland" (renamed to "Pioneer Park"). Things are laid... More

Good food and great setting for an Alaskan experience. Locals and tourists both eat here and have a great time. It's a fun place for kids as well.

We LOVE this place, we try to go as often as we can during the summer when they are open. Really the only true buffet in town and crab legs to boot. You can definitely get your moneys worth here and go back for more and more and more. The secret is to go as soon as they open or... More

We had made reservations for this food delight a year in advance. Lots of salmon, crab legs and prime rib, along with breads, salads, potatoes. All of it was great! You could eat inside or out. What surprised me the most was the total organization of this place. Not one hiccup. Food never ran out (buffet), drink stations had ice... More

Another couple and my husband and I had dinner here on August 15th. We bought a combined ticket for the dinner and the review show. Both were very good. The salmon bake is a buffet which has all you can eat salmon, crab legs, salads, sides and sodas. I don't care for salmon, however the crab legs were great. I... More
