I can't really say anything good about this place and I can't say anything bad about this place.. I'll just say "Eh".. I love a good buffet. I love a good all you can eat crab buffet as well and this place was not really what I expected. The crab legs are all you can eat but they dish it... More

I am not a fish eater, and of course if you go to Alaska you will have many opportunities to eat salmon. This dinner was included in our Globus Tour. Enter, take a plate, and start loading up. You first go through the salad section, then to the main course. Each course is a different station, all outdoors. My fellow... More

Even with mixed reviews we decided to partake in the Salmon Bake since we were visiting Pioneer Park. Not sure what this would be like in a busy tourist season - we were fortunate not many people in the park today and fairly light gathering for dinner at the Salmon Bake. One recommendation: best to have both hands free when... More

Not nearly the atmosphere I was expecting. I envisioned going to a neat location and seeing them bake Salmon over great pits, and then eating amongst the great outdoors. This Salmon bake is within the town (on the main drag), and the Salmon was all done and ready for serving from the standard buffet line immediately upon our arrival. The... More

We decided to eat here one night for dinner while we were staying in Fairbanks as part of our land tour. The restaurant had a shuttle that picked up at area hotels and took them to the restaurant. It was an fun outdoor experience. Upon arrival you get a giant "fish" plate and there are several outdoor food stations to... More

Located in Pioneer Park the Alaska Salmon Bake is a grilling experience featuring fire grilled Salmon accompanied by fried halibut, king crab legs, and prime rib. If you leave here hungry it is no one's fault, but your own.

What can I say? This is a finely tuned operation, geared towards feeding massives busloads of cruise ship tourists in an efficient and profitable manner. The salmon is okay without being fantastic, the salad bar is large without being staggering. The cost is "tourist-high", although coupons are available at the visitor's center in Fairbanks. I would normally never spend $30... More

A bus picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the restaurant. Upon entering you go through a replica of a gold mine. Then one pays a fixed price for an all you can eat meal of either prime rib, crab legs, cod, and salmon. Soft drinks are included. The food wasn't bad and when finished a bus... More

This is an all you can eat mega food experience. On Thurs thru Sat they have giant crab legs, prime rib, salmon cooked on an outdoor grill, and deep fried cod, just for the meat coarse! The salmon was the best we had ever had. They also have a desert "shack" w/cakes and a wonderful pound cake w/fresh blueberry syrupy... More
