The waitress ignored us for the first 10 minutes. Finally I stopped her to serve us. Then it took 45 minutes to get our food out even though it had been sitting on the counter for at least 10 minutes. Our waitress would look at it and then walk away. Our food was ice cold. We had to ask the... More

We ate here for breakfast. The hostess acknowledged us right away and indicated for us to sit anywhere, then brought us menus. We sat for a very long time before the waitress came to take our order and the service was kind of an "I don't care" attitude. The food itself was good, but was slow in coming. The interior... More

We came here for a quick lunch and were pleased by the clean, retro diner interior and the friendly service. A burger, some eggs, a Reuben hot dog, and the soup were all tasty and relatively cheap. However, the kids' Mac and cheese was beyond terrible. They'd do better to just use the boxed stuff. No flavor, gummy, and tepid... More

We had breakfast here after passing on the buffet at the Bridgewater. The food was freshly prepared and the service was good. The prices were reasonable and there were adequate choices for the meal. Would go back again.

Not only was the food horrible, the service also sunk. This place was one of the worst places we have ever eaten in and we highly recommend not going there. Our hamburgers were tasteless, service was so bad we truly thought about leaving before we finished our food because it tasted so bad. Do yourself a big favor, don't go... More

Some of the best seafood chowder we ever had. Friendly staff with excellent service. Burgers & fries for another trip, which was also excellent.

Because I had not eaten for about 18 hours, I was ready for anything, or so I thought. Wish I had stayed home and had saltines instead. The beef and vegetable soup would have given Campbell's a world class standing. The lettuce was the last shreds into Alaska I think from last year. Better find the grocery store and just... More

On the recommendation of locals, we walked across the Chena River from downtown Fairbanks on the Illinois Street bridge and found the funky and simply-named "Diner" in an industrial area. The walls are covered with numbered photographs of various scenes and events from Fairbanks history dating back to its founding. Each table has a book of descriptions for all the... More

Good diner food. We had a nice breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes and French toast and shared a side of reindeer sausage (why not? You’re in Alaska—reindeer is domesticated caribou; it’s lean and tangy). It’s a short walk across the bridge from the downtown hotels.

Don't waste your time going here. The food is disgusting and the chicken fried steak is served with brown gravy..nasty. And if you complain they don't care. Was good years ago and then was sold and hasn't been the same since. Portions are small and service is slow...Pass on this one, for sure!!
