Not only was the food horrible, the service also sunk. This place was one of the worst places we have ever eaten in and we highly recommend not going there. Our hamburgers were tasteless, service was so bad we truly thought about leaving before we finished our food because it tasted so bad. Do yourself a big favor, don't go... More

Some of the best seafood chowder we ever had. Friendly staff with excellent service. Burgers & fries for another trip, which was also excellent.

Because I had not eaten for about 18 hours, I was ready for anything, or so I thought. Wish I had stayed home and had saltines instead. The beef and vegetable soup would have given Campbell's a world class standing. The lettuce was the last shreds into Alaska I think from last year. Better find the grocery store and just... More

On the recommendation of locals, we walked across the Chena River from downtown Fairbanks on the Illinois Street bridge and found the funky and simply-named "Diner" in an industrial area. The walls are covered with numbered photographs of various scenes and events from Fairbanks history dating back to its founding. Each table has a book of descriptions for all the... More

Good diner food. We had a nice breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes and French toast and shared a side of reindeer sausage (why not? You’re in Alaska—reindeer is domesticated caribou; it’s lean and tangy). It’s a short walk across the bridge from the downtown hotels.

Don't waste your time going here. The food is disgusting and the chicken fried steak is served with brown gravy..nasty. And if you complain they don't care. Was good years ago and then was sold and hasn't been the same since. Portions are small and service is slow...Pass on this one, for sure!!

Another local favorite. Just what you'd expect from an established local diner. Super service, good cooking, and lots of loyal customers. Regulars like to meet there and stay for hours and visit.

We used to visit the Diner several times a week. Then new managers took over about a year ago. First thing they did was refuse to honor our frequent user cards where we had earned points for seven free breakfasts. Next we noticed the breakfast foods, especially the meats started to taste old and rancid. We complained several times but... More

Not sure what happened but this placed use to be absolutely awesome for breakfast. It got a "facelift" on the interior but its food lost that "special" touch that made it so great. Its not bad here, but just not as good as it use too bee
