Fine food, service ok, but they were busy at that time.

An odd basement location under a bowling alley. No doubt about the authenticity of the Korean food however. All seemed great to me. The kids thought it a bit too spicy, but that is expected. The night we were there a bus load of Asian tourists were there, so service was a bit slow, but not... read more

Unhappy with my to-go box of calamari. There was a piece of wire in my food, the kind you find on those metal scrubbers for dishwashing. Hurt my tooth and not pleased!

Asian restaurants are a dime a dozen in tiny Fairbanks, but Seoul Gate is a diamond in the rough. I've spent time in Korea, and Seoul Gate is as authentic and delicious as any Korean restaurant I've ever eaten at. The kimshi is really good, and the spicy pork bulgolgi is down right amazing! I like to cool the fire... More

You gotta look for this place as it is in the basement of a bowling alley. It's worth the effort though as they have some of the best Korean food I've ever eaten! The service was great, prompt and attentive. The food was served quickly, and when we wanted more of the delicious side dishes, they were brought happily. Some... More

We had dinner at Seoul Sushi tonight, and it was incredibly good. Due to our confusion about the nature of the appetizer "Monkey Brains" we ended up getting that appetizer and a complementary small order of baked mussels. Both were delicious. I had a bulgogi squid dinner box, and my husband had a garlic chicken dinner plate. We both brought... More

If you're looking for authentic Korean food look no further. Great food and excellent service. I've eaten there more times than I can count. I've gotten friends and coworkers addicted to Korean cuisine thanks to Seoul Gate.

The food was really good and authentic. Nice surprise in finding a good Korean place. Beef bulgogi and kimchi is home made by owner and was really great. Definetly worth going to.

I always get a kick out of eating ethnic foods, and being that I was stationed in Korea, I love Korean food. I ordered a Hite, a Korean beer I personally enjoy and instead received a Sapporo a Japanese beer. I ordered Chicken Kimbap, and received bibimbap as well as Yaki Mandu for an appitizer. The food is great, but... More

Was initially apprehensive about going to eat beneath a bowling alley. The restaurant was surprisingly well appointed for its locale. A friend recommended the Bulgogi, my wife had beef and I the squid. We have had the acclaimed Pagoda Mongolian beef many times and found this a superior meal. This was truly a meal worth Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

We had one of the best Asian meals in Fairbanks at the Seoul Gate and Seoul Sushi Restaurant. We ate on the Sushi side of the restaurant, but my husband ordered from the Seoul Gate menu. I had a bulgogi dinner box with beef bulgogi, rice, salad, California rolls, and wonderful tempura. My husband had pork bulgogi which came with... More
