Pretty standard diner fare. They do breakfast well but that's about it. The reindeer sausage omelet was delicious. Quick and efficient service. You just seat yourself so walk right in and find an empty table.

In my review of the Best Western Chena River, I mentioned alternatives for breakfast. This is a very good breakfast spot. Nothing fancy, just good food!

Skip lunch and dinner. We went there on these reviews and were thoroughly disappointed. The Buffalo burgers were bland, I have had Costco buffalo patties straight from the freezer with salt and pepper have more flavor. The cheesesteak sandwich reminded me of Steak-umm's and was thoroughly overcooked and dry and needed the au jus to make it ingestible. The service... More

This is definitely a place that the locals go to and they have lots of "regulars". The food was very good casual food. Service was friendly, but slow and disorganized.

Nothing outstanding to me about this diner - the food was alright (sourdough pancakes & omelette were had) and the service was prompt. Hit the spot, but wouldn't necessarily go back as it was average & I am always looking for outstanding.

I go here every time I visit Fairbanks. Reliable sourdough pancakes, cheap food, clean bathrooms, quick service. Try it, unless you want something really "fancy" -- and I think it will satisfy your basic breakfast cravings.

The parking lot is packed all the time which is a good sign. Went for their famous reindeer sausage (quite good) and sourdough pancakes. Everyone who likes sourdough loved them. I am not a sourdough fan. The omelet was the best I have had in a long time. Cooked perfectly! Plenty of coffee and great service. Will return for sure!

I liked the cafe and the staff. It was a great place to work on the laptop while eating breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, which they made on the grill - chopped up style - which is not my favorite method of scrambling eggs. It came with lots of bacon and the french toast was okay. The coffee was kept... More

Sam's is one of my husband's and my favorite cafes in Fairbanks. You won't be disappointed in the food or service. Both are great! It's a very popular place, so time it well so you won't be caught waiting for a seat.
