Terrible service but it has a family feel. Nice homey feel. Lots of pies, lots of food. The typical truck stop. You go there for the food or pies, and just enjoy your time. Go with your family for a Saturday breakfast or lunch.

Ok so let's start with the food. Honestly, nothing to write home about, but also not bad. Reindeer sausage was good, my brother said the pancakes were good. Coffee wasn't burnt. We were up for Labor Day weekend and decided to head out here. Wait staff was terrible. We were obviously treated as second class, as we weren't local, in... More

As a long distance truck driver I was on a trip that took me from Southern California to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. I needed to get diesel and something to eat. I asked a local and they directed me to the Hilltop Truck Stop. I have been to my fair share of truck stops over the 34 years that I have... More

So we moved to Fairbanks and saw the bumper stickers I Brake for Pie. I love pie. Had to visit this place. It is an iconic diner. Very typical diner food. But it's famous for pies. So let's have a piece. My husband had the pistachio and I had apple. I know pies and this was nothing to rave about.... More

This is a must do every time I visit Fairbanks!! It is well worth the drive to bite into the most delicious homemade pies I've ever eaten. Strawberry Rhubarb and Pistachio are my ultimate favorites!!

As most truck stops go the food is adequate but not great and the service lacks sometimes. I was expecting the same here but was pleasantly surprised. As for an Alaskan truck stop it has the typical gravel lot for parking but inside was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. You will not... More

Anyone in the vicinity is encouraged to make a stop.at the Hilltop if you are interested in traditional truck stop food and service. Downhome and hearty portions this is a regular stop for locals in the area, truckers going either direction of the "haul road", tourists, and others. My favorite meal is always breakfast and no one will go hungry... More

I finally had the opportunity to eat at Hilltop Truck Stop. It looks just like the name says, a truck stop. Anyway, I loved the food and the pie. For my lunch, I had sausage, egg, and cheese on an English muffin. It was delicious! Good portion and cheaper than the usual Alaskan menu. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate... More

Very thin crust and full of fillings. They offer many flavors. I tried their apple pie & highly recommended.
