The river trip was enjoyable with several "stops" on the river. We saw a bush pilot demonstrate his flying abilities, the kennels of Susan Butcher and a real stop at the village. The unexpected plus was lunch at the landing. It was much better than anyone in our party expected and was all you wished to eat. Everything was wonderful... More

The boat tour was very nice and very interesting. The lunch we had before we got on the boat was just okay. Nothing that spectacular.

Family run boat tour in Princess excursion tour. Not only an interesting boat trip, but also visited dog training for the Iditarod, and a recreation of an Alaskan Indian village. The young local tour guides at the Indian Village sometimes ended up in fits of giggles as they tried to remember their lines.

We loved the time on this steamboat. There were lots of new things to learn about. We didn't care for the huge dining hall experience at the end. We felt like a herd of cattle led to the trough. The food was good, however.

It's a dinner cruise what can I say? You get a little education while eating a pretty good meal! I'm from Fairbanks so a lot if it is old hat. but it was very nice to go out with my wife for a little change of pace. If you are expecting the river boat discovery you won't get it. This... More

This is not the Riverboat Discovery which I highly recommend. This is a dinner cruise on the Chena River that is a tourist rip-off. I don't know how they've stayed in business. I guess there are always new tourists.

Mixed reviews on this excursion. The staff was ok but not as friendly as you'd expect. In regards to dinner, the prime rib was great but the salmon was awful. It was skinny finger size slivers of salmon...worst we had in AK! The boat was nice although a bit small. Another disappointment was that I had a BOGO coupon with... More

Really enjoyed the show. Lots of planning and work has gone into this living attraction, it is a little commercial but they have to pay for it somehow. The historical perspective and introduction to the native people made the day vey informative and pleasant. I would highly recommend this experience to my friends.

The paddlewheel boat goes ver sl-o-o-o-o-o-w so be prepared. Nice, friendly staff but the whole thing really did feel a little cheesy. It kind of felt like the emcee was performing on a slow night at a comedy club. This is a great time to see homes, etc. of people who are living the Alaskan lifestyle. That part was interesting....
