A good lunch at a reasonable price in pleasant surroundings

We were wandering around the somewhat decrepit Fairbanks downtown looking for a place to eat and, a little bit on the edge, we found Bobby's. My wife and I eat here quite often. Fairbanks is pretty limited on nice restaurants, but Bobby's is one of the few that you get to go and get the great food you expect. I usually get the ribeye, but when wanting something different the swordfish is always amazing. Bobby, the owner, is usually there and makes sure to talk... More

My second visit to Bobby's, the first in 2012 with friends and my oldest son who currently resides in Fairbanks & recently with friends and my youngest daughter. We currently live in Vermont, visiting friends and family & I really wanted to share the wonderful food and hospitality that Bobby & his staff displays. What can I say when the... More

Great eating establishment. Owner there oversees entire operation and makes sure all is well. I was on my own and had a first class dining experience sitting at the bar! Price is very reasonable for 1st class food and drink.

I had dinner here. The food was okay...the baked lasagna was more sauce than pasta and I think there was one piece of meat in the meat sauce. The service was poor. Had to ask for a refill on the ice tea and the server only came by once to see if I needed anything. I gave her the customary... More

In Fairbanks, there is a great variety of ethnic groups for food. You have your Korean and Japanese, Chinese and Thai, Mexican, Italian, and Greek. The only problem is, Bobby's is the only Greek place I know in town. For what it's worth the wait staff is great, they care, and have no issues explaining the wine on the list,... More

Food, service and atmosphere way exceeded our expectations on our recent visit to Bobby's. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and appreciated. The Greek dishes we tried were really special, beef souvlaki was unbelievable. We went there a few times several years ago and weren't that impressed, but this time was a charm. We will definitely return!

We went to Bobby,s Downtown as a group for dinner. It was a wonderful night where the staff made you feel very welcome and the food was delicious. We started off with the eggplant dip with pita bread and then i had the Halibut with rice, pototoes and carrots. the fish was cooked to perfection. My husband had the special of... More

While in Alaska, I just can't pass up the halibut and salmon. Bobby's Downtown specializes in Greek cuisine and I was hoping for some good old fashioned Greek seafood dishes. What a disappointment at not finding any... I did, however, have the roast halibut and was further disappointed with my (rather expensive) fish being way over cooked and dried out.... More

We visited this restaurant once for lunch and once for dinner, with both meals receiving the highest quality service, food, and drinks! We would become regulars if we lived here,as everything was perfect!!
