I have always liked the atmosphere in Bobby's, especially when they had good live jazz in the bar. A nice glass of wine, an appetizer and a good evening was made special. I cannot say I have tried a lot on the menu, but he appetizers are consistent. Friday evening, we tried a dinner special which was a New York... More

This is advertised as a high end Greek restaurant on 2nd street in downtown Fairbanks that has jazz on Fri and Sat nights. Sounded perfect. The place was attractive from the outside and had Greek music playing in the parking lot. When you walked in there was a huge bar area with lots of seating which made sense for jazz.... More

Bobby's is a nice place, the service is good, almost overattentive. The menu is mostly Greek with some steaks and seafood as well as specials in a separate insert. You can bet that whatever you get its going to be good. Now the other part. Its comically expensive, so much so that if you survive looking at the menu, you... More

Bobby's is a pleasant enough room but the food is thoroughly mediocre. The fish was overcooked, the pizza was a cut above Dominoes, the desserts comparable to what you might by at Sam's Club. There aren't many tablecloth dining venues in Fairbanks, but you can skip this one.

Our meal at Bobby's Downtown was inedible. My halibut was so overcooked that it was not only dry, it was tough. Three of us in our party of four experienced this. Our waitress was kind enough to remove the charge for dinner, though. The other very big problem is that the music is so loud that it is impossible to... More

We enjoyed appetizers, dinner, and drinks at Bobby's last night and were very happy with the experience. Their tzatziki was thick and flavorful, with fresh soft pita for dipping. A nice contrast to the clams we got the night before, Bobby's were meaty and well seasoned. We practically soaked up all the juice with our garlic bread! The saganaki was... More

Very expensive ($26 for a 12 inch pizza, $35+ for entree). I had halibut and it was overcooked and dry.

High prices and average food. Before I finished my appetizer, my salad and main dish were on my table.

Bobby's was a good choice for a dinner with friends while visiting town last week. Nothing spectacular, but a good rendition of Greek food. Prices are high, but the service was very good. The owner is personable, spends time talking with the guests and make us feel welcome in his restaurant.

The food was good, but the waitress couldn't tell that my ID said I was 21+,and refused to serve me alcohol. Embarrassing! Will not return due to bad service.
