When visiting Fredericksburg we've eaten at Bistro Bethem twice, once in July 2013 and again this August 2014. In both instances we found both the food and service be excellent. The restaurant is known for using local product and it shows in the food. The menu offers some excellent choices at a reasonable price. One thing my wife liked was that... More

After waiting for an outside table and arriving back early from a walk to pass the time, the staff very nicely cleaned a recently emptied table and sat us outside. Service was excellent, it's nice when servers who aren't yours take the time to notice when something needs to be cleared from the table. Food was very good. Fresh burrata... More

First of all ask for Katherine She is a great eyes watching you waitress. She knows what is good. Had the charcuterie board and avacodo crab and the wife had a turkey Brie sandwich. Food was delicious fresh and great presentation. Wood fired pizzas and seafood. Wool be back. Great atmosphere Great job

We ate a small meal across the street at another restaurant and then came here for a drink as we hopped from restaurant to restaurant. I wish we had eaten here instead. We split an order on gnocchi which was great. Very friendly bartender and staff here.

Bistro Bethem is an all around neuvo/international food place! The wine, art and service makes it a great place to go especially on weekends with live eclectic music. One of my favorites in Fredericksburg.

Five siblings, their spouses and our 91 year old mom were recently welcomed for a Mother's Day dinner. We did not dine right on mother's day, but the day before when the restaurant was hosting a local college graduation dinner crowd as well. I believe that may have been the reason there was a high level of noise that night.... More

I stopped into Bistro Bethem for a drink and quick bite before meeting friends elsewhere. Very interesting cocktail list and I overheard the bartender telling another customer they make most of their mixers in house. I had already ordered a beer, a local brew called "Killer Kolsh" which was light and crisp but not lacking in flavor. In fact, 4... More

My fiance and I spent a weekend in Fredericksburg and we were excited to visit Bistro Bethem based on their online menu. We really wanted to like this place, but my overwhelming impression was that the chef was trying very hard to be haute cuisine - but wasn't quite there yet on the talent end. We shared a unique appetizer... More

We made phone reservations for a special occasion, hoping to be overwhelmed. We weren't. The service was very good, the food wasn't. My wife's appetizer had burnt pita bread that was turned upside down in an effort to hide the burnt side. My steak was tough and tasteless. The rest of the meal was mediocre, I could have done it...
