We were in town for one night and chose this based on reviews. The restaurant looks small from the street but actually has a large interior and is nicely decorated. The waiter's wine suggestion was perfect and it is half price on Sunday's. We both had the clams which had a delicious broth with fennel and potatoes giving it a... More

This was a nice surprise: a pre-Christmas lunch with business associates. The menu was very varied, particularly in terms of well-presented, well-cooked lunch fare. There was a very nice variety of entrees and sandwiches. The turkey, brie and apricot was truly delicious. The roast beef was flavorful and just right and the pizzas and salads were superb. We treated ourselves... More

Establishment was recommended by some friends and we weren't disappointed. Most of our party had a lamb entree and I had a chicken/duck pot pie. All were good. Staff is very friendly and they also have a lot of specialty drinks, micro beers, etc. Good spot to stop.

This restaurant is next to La Petit Auberge, it is much larger, than it looks from the street, the food is exceptional,, the service is superb, waitresses are going out of their way to help You. They serve microbrewery beers, many from Virginia. I myself like yinglieng, or bass ale, not so much Miller lite. They have a beer with... More

Thank you Andrew for the kind words! We try to keep our beer and wine list fresh. The menu is constantly changing, we always have local options at the bar and coming out of our kitchen. All of the artists that hang in the Bistro are local, and you know how we love to support the nearby talent! We rotate... More

Delicious, gourmet and fresh selections. Free range chicken & seafood are great. Love their crab stuffed avocado. Great place to have a nice dinner with friends.

Funky bistro w great art work. Friendly staff. Salads are quite good. Mostly meat on menu. Both entrees were good. Sunday night is 1/2 off bottled wine. Need more chocolate on the dessert menu.

Service was good but for most in our party the food was just okay. When I ordered my dinner salad the server recommended that I add protein to it as it is quite small. Even with the piece of chicken it was still small

Bistro Bethem is an excellent jewel of a restaurant located in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg. My fella and I went for a quiet getaway dinner and were thrilled with the place. The ambiance is welcoming without being too fancy - equally appealing to college students and 50-somethings. The bar makes a great martini, the wine list and apertifs are... More

We had a good feeling about this place when we dropped by before opening, and asked to see the menu--We were told that tonight's menu was just being printed! Translated: They just shopped fresh, and had just made it up for the night. Quality of food, seasoning, presentation all outstanding. Interesting menu--We had trouble choosing. Eclectic and extensive wine list... More

I can't say I have warmed to the taste of whipped lardo (I agreed on the word of our waiter) but the pizza crust was perfectly crunchy, mighty tasty and extremely pleasing! It was served on a slab of wood which added to the flavor immensely. On another note, their pots de creme was heavenly with the side dish of... More
