This restaurant is absolutely the best in Fredericksburg. The authentic French cuisine, the ambiance, THE WINES!!!!! All price ranges and I and a lot of my friends go for lunch a lot. They have live music on Wednesday nights and on other weekends. Ask for Jim as your waiter!!!!!! It's wonderful!

One of the best meals I have had recently and definitely ever had in Fredericksburg. The wait staff was charming (and provided a pashmina for a fellow diner as we were under the A/C unit). The food was absolutely delicious and the wine list very good. Don't miss it!

Wonderful French bistro in the historic downtown. Everything was very good to excellent except a little heavy handed with the garlic on the duck confit. Nonetheless, if you are in town this is worth a try.

We live in Williamsburg and wanted to meet my niece who was attending a seminar in Arlington. Fredericksburg seemed to be a viable choice and La Petite Auberge sounded good from the Trip Advisor reviews. We enjoyed our meals: salmon, the fish special of the evening, which was halibut with crab meat and hollandaise sauce, and scallops with andouille sausage;... More

This is a very nice, middle sized restaurant in the downtown part of Fredericksburg. As the name suggests, it is French themed, but not totally French. The main dining room is fairly large, with some very nice local art on the walls. Much of it had been sold, so others must agree. In any event, the art shows involvement in... More

Lived in Fredericksburg for nearly 3 years and had never tried La Petite....glad we finally did! Wife made reservations for our anniversary and we gave it a shot. Excellent atmosphere for a couples dinner. Wait staff friendly and responsive. Diverse menu...seafood, beef, chicken....great appetizers...and the deserts were exceptional! We had the roasted chicken and the crab stuffed shrimp. Both were... More

With all the ambience of a white-tablecloth small restaurant and chef-prepared meals, this charming place is a stand-out in downtown Fredericksburg. My husband's entree of crabmeat stuffed shrimp was slightly better than my top-notch crab cakes, making our meal one to remember. Get the tomato mozzarella salad for sure, especially when the juicy summer tomatoes are in season. Good service,... More

We had only one night in Fredericksburg, Va and so wanted to find a good place to eat. While looking, we were directed by a local shop keeper to La Petite Auberge. We were warmly met and brought to a nicely arranged intimate table with crisp white linens. The waiter arrived quickly to present our menus, but we discovered that... More

What a great find! We stumbled on this place one night when we didn't have reservations and I'm so glad we did! The cheese plate was so good and our entrees were perfect. The price is a little higher than most places so it was a treat, but the ambiance is spectacular. Service was great and so friendly.

What an amazing meal I had the salmon on risotto, two of my favourites and my husband had the duck which he loved. We shared the calamari starter which was melt in your mouth. Service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable
