This use to be a great place but it's in need of being revamped. Menu is good but a little dated and pricey. Ambiance is also pretty dated. This could be a great restaurant again if they just stepped back and created a newer menu and ambiance.

I think you need to re-visit our restaurant as I see you dinned with us prior to our complete interior and exterior renovation. Also, there is new ownership since you last dinned with us thus creating a slightly newer menu selection. We still have our staples but there are some new "specials" that we offer. I would ask in the... More

This is a restaurant we've never been disappointed at. The food is always good and it's a joy to be served in a fine dining tradition and not having to leave your checkbook to cover the cost. Obviously a place many of the regulars enjoy.

We had lunch here one day, and it was fine but nothing really special. Friends suggested I try the soft-shelled crab sandwich, and I found it tasty but nothing exceptional. I thought the sauce on the bun made the sandwich, not the crab. The shell wasn’t as off-putting as I’d expected, but it didn’t add to the meal either. The... More

While visiting Fredricksburg we had originally started out for another restaurant but they had a long wait and it was very noisy. We had read reviews for La Petite Auberge and decided to head there. We were seated right away. Our waiter William (???) was very personable and made our dining experience all the better. I was impressed with the... More

This restaurant was the site of a get together luncheon with my Dad, whom I had not seen in three years (he lives in Virginia and I live in PuertoRico). I was celebrating my first year cancer free and finally telling him about it! It was a relaxing ambiance for such a stressful topic. William was a great server with... More

Went here for lunch a few weeks ago and had delicious cream of mushroom soup and then a glorious reuben. May be the best one I have ever had. Crunchy, but not dry, corned beef was lean and not rubbery. Add the kraut and wow! My daughter had the Eggs Benedict and said they were delicious. I have eaten here... More

We visited here in August for Fredericksburg's restaurant week. We had been looking forward to it because we had heard a lot about it and several friends had recommended La Petite to us. Right off the bat, we had a little bit of a wait to be seated, even though there were several open tables. Next we ordered some wine... More

I have to say I am surprised by this review, as you can see we get great reviews regularly so this one catches me by surprise. I wish you would have brought up your concerns the night you were here about your distaste for the dish you ordered. So that we had the opportunity to replace the dish with something... More

This is a nice restaurant with a long menu, not very creative. Some few tables outside but a huge place inside. Food is average, large plates but nothing to fancy.
