Delicious desserts.

We stopped here to have dessert because we are here on a previous occasion and enjoyed their dessert. They have a nice selection and it was hard to choose between several of the desserts. High quality every single time, both with food and service. Tempting dishes that never disappoint. Lovely surroundings, including a private room for parties. Staff very attentive and very professional.

Open on Monday (unusual for a lot of places), called for reservation but probably not needed. We were seated promptly and attended to promptly. The atmosphere was fairly nice, not over the top. We ordered drinks and the drinks were prepared properly and promptly. They offer a complete meal selection on a fixed price, plus a menu. My wife ordered... More

La Petite Auberge is arguable the finest restaurant in Fredericksburg, VA - although there are several that are closing the gap, and depending on your food preferences, may actually be better. La Petite, as locals call the restaurant, is fine dining, top-notch service, quiet atmosphere, and best of all, excellent food - especially the fish choices. My personal favorite is... More

The food is mediocre. When we went, the service was horrible. We were sat and received our drinks fairly promptly. However, our server passed by us 5-6 times and didn't care to take our order. He just looked at us down his nose. Apparently ordering a tea and water to drink was too much for his sensibilities. We ended up... More

This is a light airy typically French restaurant in downtown Fredericksburg. Very good wine list with wines available by the glass or bottle at reasonable prices. Excellent service because the Hostess also pitches in with bussing in quieter moments.

We always enjoy our visits. Request perimeter seats in main dining room to avoid cold AC wind drafts and staff traffic. Food tasty and nicely plated. Service excellent. Overall ambiance tastefully contributing to a pleasant evening meal. Veal scallopini cordon blue was not as hot and crisply served as I would like, breading was quite soggy, but flavor was good... Enjoyed this pretty restaurant on the main street of Fredericksburg. Lots of activity on the street, with plenty of restaurants and people strolling by. Had the barbecue salmon "specialty of the house" which was quite good. My husband had the pork chops with apples and spices, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Nice wine list, and good dessert choices.

This use to be a great place but it's in need of being revamped. Menu is good but a little dated and pricey. Ambiance is also pretty dated. This could be a great restaurant again if they just stepped back and created a newer menu and ambiance.

I think you need to re-visit our restaurant as I see you dinned with us prior to our complete interior and exterior renovation. Also, there is new ownership since you last dinned with us thus creating a slightly newer menu selection. We still have our staples but there are some new "specials" that we offer. I would ask in the... More

This is a restaurant we've never been disappointed at. The food is always good and it's a joy to be served in a fine dining tradition and not having to leave your checkbook to cover the cost. Obviously a place many of the regulars enjoy.
