This restaurant can always be counted on to serve an excellent meal. Whether a business lunch, or a couples dinner, or lunch with a friend, you will not be disappointed. Many of us that have gone to this restaurant for years have their favorite meals. Mine is the scrod with rice and beans and a Caesar salad on the side.... More

This restaurant located centrally in the tourist area of the Olde Town district of the city is lovely. It has a nicely appointed dining room as well as some private rooms and a fine bar. The food is excellent with many choices for the lunch we had. My wife had a lovely tomato salad while my crab cake sandwich was... More

We ate at La Petite during restaurant week. The wording on "Restaurant Weeks" flyer states " There are 17 participating, independent restaurants in this year's Restaurant Week program all with 2 for $20.00 specials." So one would expect 2 for $20. Well this restaurant interprets this to mean 1 entree and choice of appetizer or dessert for $20 each. Realizing... More

I have eaten here many times and the food is always fabulous. This time we didn't get to find out. Made a reservation and they seated us at a wonderful outside table for two. There were tables for two on each side of us. All was well until there were three people at one of the tables who had clearly... More

This restaurant is absolutely the best in Fredericksburg. The authentic French cuisine, the ambiance, THE WINES!!!!! All price ranges and I and a lot of my friends go for lunch a lot. They have live music on Wednesday nights and on other weekends. Ask for Jim as your waiter!!!!!! It's wonderful!

One of the best meals I have had recently and definitely ever had in Fredericksburg. The wait staff was charming (and provided a pashmina for a fellow diner as we were under the A/C unit). The food was absolutely delicious and the wine list very good. Don't miss it!

Wonderful French bistro in the historic downtown. Everything was very good to excellent except a little heavy handed with the garlic on the duck confit. Nonetheless, if you are in town this is worth a try.

We live in Williamsburg and wanted to meet my niece who was attending a seminar in Arlington. Fredericksburg seemed to be a viable choice and La Petite Auberge sounded good from the Trip Advisor reviews. We enjoyed our meals: salmon, the fish special of the evening, which was halibut with crab meat and hollandaise sauce, and scallops with andouille sausage;... More

This is a very nice, middle sized restaurant in the downtown part of Fredericksburg. As the name suggests, it is French themed, but not totally French. The main dining room is fairly large, with some very nice local art on the walls. Much of it had been sold, so others must agree. In any event, the art shows involvement in... More

Lived in Fredericksburg for nearly 3 years and had never tried La Petite....glad we finally did! Wife made reservations for our anniversary and we gave it a shot. Excellent atmosphere for a couples dinner. Wait staff friendly and responsive. Diverse menu...seafood, beef, chicken....great appetizers...and the deserts were exceptional! We had the roasted chicken and the crab stuffed shrimp. Both were... More
