Took my sister and her husband for dinner in her birthday. Forgot we are in "high prom" season, but even though they were busy, we had excellent service! Love the renovated dining room too. This is our go to place for celebrations and a fancy night out. You just can't get a bad meal here and I've had just about... More

We have been eating here since it opened over 30 years ago. Anniversary and birthday celebrations with family and friends are here often plus the romantic couple's night out. Sherry makes you feel welcome at the door with or without a reservation. Three distinct areas for eating - a formal (although no dress code enforced), the more casual bar area... More

My wife and I enjoyed a nice dinner at La Petite Auberge. We picked it because we thought it would be nice to have french cuisine. Much of the menu is more American than French, but we enjoyed our meal. We got the mussels Auberge appetizer, which we enjoyed very much. It had a lot of cheese baked over the... More

I have gone to this place since it was first run By Christian Renault ( he has since retired, son is in charge now I believe) Excellent food but not for anyone on a diet for sure. The items worth tryng IMHO are the baked brie, soupe a l'oignon gratinee, Filet w/Bearnaise, Jumbo Lump Crabmeat Norfolk, Rack of Lamb, Stuffed... More

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we booked our Saturday night dinner here and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was lively and fun. Service was perfect and the food was divine. At the recommendation of our B&B hostess I had the Rockfish and my husband had the Rack of Lamb which were both delicious. I had a salad that featured... More

Has to be the number one restaurant in Fredricksburg. If this space was in a major city the prices would be at least double. The food, atmosphere and design element was off the scale. Highly recommended. Fredricsburg

This small French restaurant off Williams St. in Fredericksburg is a diamond in the rough! Excellently prepared food with outstanding and friendly service. We arrived early and took advantage of the Early Menu available 5:30 to 7:30 Monday thru Thursday. The four course meal was price fixed at $23 per person. We also shared a bottle of rose imported from... More

We live in the Burg, and this is our favorite restaurant for special celebrations. This is a French restaurant, but don't let that scare you away. They have something for everyone. The menu changes with the seasons. In the summer they use locally grown vegetables, be sure to try the Tomatoes Auberge as a appetizer. Also the soft shell crabs... More

We have lived in Fredericksburg for over 30 years, and have dined at just about every "fine dining" establishment in town. La Petite opened its doors the same week that we moved to town, and was and is easily the best of the lot. The Washington Post regularly reviews the place and now regularly refers to it as "ledgendary." Great... More

Went here to celebrate my husbands birthday, the food an service were great. My only complaint is/was, I was seated next to the kitchen entrance so it was kind of annoying having people walk by you every second. It almost felt like you were seating in the middle of the restaurant blocking the walkway. Other than that everything was great,... More
