they have good breakfast but you have to be there extra early, like right when they open to get any variety.
We've been to Eileen's countless times since we moved to Fredericksburg in 2007. What's great about Eileens, other than being in downtown Fredericksburg, is the selection of food and pastry items. We always find something we like, it's all very tasty, and the staff is very friendly. We don't normally order hot beverages, and it's been a while since I've... More
If you're in-town, just follow the incredible trail of people going into Eileen's, and you'll find out why. A major step-up along the lines of Panneras, this family-run quick-serve restaurant/coffee shop is crammed with too-close tables, but accommodating diners. You'll hear everyone's special coffee drinks being made, chopping of something to put on a sandwich, but don't forget to look... More
Great place for just hanging out with a cup of coffee and a treat. Breakfast or lunch it is a comfortable and yummie place to go.
The building is very cool and a block away from the library on Caroline Street. It appears the building was a church at one time with plenty of seating inside. The bakery does have a few cool twist on cookies, for example, lavender shortbread. I tried the vanilla cupcake, which was beautifully decorated and my mom tried the walnut upside... More
Love this place. Eileen herself is in the kitchen. I have never had anything bad here from the pastries to the sandwiches. One of my favorite things to do when company is coming is to get an assortment of the pastries. This is also a great idea to bring to a brunch or when visiting friends early in the day.... More
I've been to Eileen's at times when there is a line and others when it's quiet; luckily this visit there was no chaos in ordering or finding a table. Our party ordered two of the chicken salad sandwiches and the Denver Hug; which was a sausage, egg and veggie wrap type sandwich. The chicken salad is a favorite of many... More
This was a quick coffee stop that the husband and the teenager spotted on our walk, don't know how as it is a converted church and not in your face but they can sniff out a good cake at a miles distance. Originally went in for a coffee but the rolls and cakes looked so good that we ended up... More
My sandwich was great! My friend enjoyed hers, as well! Great ambiance--we sat outside =--out back! A perfect place to grab a bite outside on a nice spring day! Nice variety of soda drinks and an amazing selection of delectible desserts!
The cafe is in an old church building that was repurposed. Inside is bright and cheery with high ceilings, lots of windows, and plenty of seating. This place can be very popular so I would suggest missing the early commuter and lunch rush. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well as dessert items. The prices are... More
