Yeah, I realize that this place has almost a cult following, but I'm not part of that cult, and I'm trying to be objective. In fairness, my wife likes the place, but I think it's more because of the general idea of it than based on their actual merits. This is based on two visits. I can't handle it any... More

I was like a kid-in-a-candy store while perusing all the delicious items. My faves were the soft, spongy, sweet Brioche Rolls while DH enjoyed the chocolate chip and Chocolate Crinkle cookies. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back when next in the Fredericksburg area. If you found this review helpful, please choose “yes” below. Happy travels!

I've been a couple times because everyone seems to rave about it and the food was pretty good, but not as good as what they charge for it. It's was very hot inside in the summer which worried me because the food that was given to us wasn't very cold. A lot of the food sits out on top of... More

"what a cute place!", i thought as we walked up and into Eileen's for the first time 2.6 years ago. i was immediately smitten by the sweet yellow bricks covering the place as well as its arched doorway - so quaint, right? then, just inside the foyer, there was an antique sideboard filled with cards and fliers and papers -... I have been going to Eileen's for years, at first I was impressed with the move to the new location, on my visit last fall, I noticed the space between the tables became tighter, and a maze when leaving. Two weeks ago, we stopped in for bread & crumb-cake (to-go). The bread was o.k., the crumb-cake was a letdown.

I have to give Eileen's just an average rating. My husband and I have been going to Eileen's since they were at their original location. We really want to still like this place BUT... the service which has never been stellar is now just blah. We are lucky to get anymore than a "what can we get for you". As... More

Eileen's is a fun place for lunch with friends and family. Fresh ingridiants make all the difference for a tasty sandwich or salad. It is housed in what was once a church. It is next to the Public Library a great place to get in out of the cold or summers heat and enjoy browsing the many books, magazines, daily... More

they have good breakfast but you have to be there extra early, like right when they open to get any variety.

We've been to Eileen's countless times since we moved to Fredericksburg in 2007. What's great about Eileens, other than being in downtown Fredericksburg, is the selection of food and pastry items. We always find something we like, it's all very tasty, and the staff is very friendly. We don't normally order hot beverages, and it's been a while since I've... More
