This organic, local eatery is unexpected in tiny, downtown Fredericksburg. It's big city quality in a quaint, little hole in the wall. The burger was one of the best I've had. Go with friends and end the meal with milk and cookies served fresh from the oven.

They have come up with a clever way to dea with limits space all while delivering amazing food. When's visit Fredericksburg it is the only place I want to eat. Everything I have tried has been delightful.

Walked in during restaurant week, it was crowded so I got my order to go. Food arrived quite quickly and I ate the turkey reuben in my car. Great sandwich and fries were delicious. I must say, I have been here before and I do find the manner of ordering a bit off putting. I think the food is really... More

I had heard a lot of good things about it so went to check it out at a busy lunch hour. It was too crowded to be able to really enjoy it. The food was not as good as the hype, though the fries were pretty tasty. The menu was easy to read and it was easy to choose what... More

This tiny, little place is all about good food. There is nothing pretentious about it....just good food that is seasonal and well-prepared. The only downside is the wait because as mentioned previously (but worth reiterating)...it is tiny. There were 4 of us on my first visit and all of us had amazingly good meals. Perfectly roasted chicken with crisp outer... More

Went for a late lunch, had the cherry apple salad and beef cheesesteak, both were great. The meal was difficult to enjoy because of the atmosphere. The space is very cramped, with institution gray walls and harsh overhead lighting. The fans were on, which gave the dining room a strobe light type feel that was very unnatural. They just need... It may seem as though they turn service on its ear, but I believe it is their way of creating a community. They help their patrons to become more aware of where there food comes from and how it is prepared. I'm impressed.

small but unique. Ate at the community table and met a few locals. Had the shrimp and grits. The grits were very bland. Expected more for the reputation I had heard about the place.

We had a group who were all arriving separately. Even though it wasn't busy at all, the folks who got there first had to stand and wait until everyone was there (fortunately only about 5-10 minutes). As stated by other reviewers, you read the menu while standing around the cash register, order your food and go find a table. Several... More

This is a place to go if you want pretty good food and don't care a whit about atmosphere. The menu is a bit limited, but the dishes are varied, unusual and quite good. It seemed to me that the kitchen must be considerably larger than the dining room, so there is often a fairly lengthy wait for a (place... More
