It appears that the My Place Latin Grill has closed. I am very disappointed as this had become oen of my favorite local restaurants. The owners, Carmen and Arturo, were always freindly and provided great service and food. It is certainly a loss to our community that this establishement is gone.

I ordered the mofongo with pork. The pork tasted like it was cooked three days ago and reheated several times. It was so hard, I choked and almost needed CPR. I was very disappointed.

Stopped by this restaurant the other day to meet a colleague, and all I can say is the staff was extremely pleasant and the black bean soup was phenomenal!! I never ever order loaded nachos from any restaurant because it always makes me thirsty and lethargic for the entire day, but I gave the "volcano nachos" a try because the... More

There was a lack of service from the beginning; no menus, had to ask for drink refills, incorrect checks for examples. The dinning room was not overly busy that night but had difficulty finding our servers. The carne asada was not well cooked or even close to what I requested. It took over thirty minutes for a server to check... More

Such a surprise! Delicious food, amazing flavors and the owner is great! We found the restaurant on trip advisor and now have to vote for it's excellence so others will be drawn to it too. The homemade Sangria was the best

Carne asada was flavorless, as were the beans and rice that came with it. Margarita was SUPER sweet and weak. Service was very slow and unorganized. Seems like the atmosphere would be cool if you were a regular or in the family. Hoped for better.

Wow. Went to this place and was told it was rated Number one on trip advisor. Our entire party would disagree. After 15 minutes we felt like we had to beg for menus. They had only bottled beer, & artificial tasting margarita's. They did make my mixed drink well though :) Took our order and came back several minutes to... More

I stopped here on the way to DC. I ordered crab balls which were simply incredible and the portion was huge. I also ordered the "mofongo," not knowing what to expect, which was savory and spectacular. The seafood was ultra fresh. The bill was small for the food quality and taste. If you love food, go here and enjoy a... More

I was so disappointed after reading all the great reviews to be turned away. We made a special trip from downtown and arrived at 8:20. We came in and a woman rushed over and said sorry we are closed, come another time. We are tourists passing through - there isn't another time. Apparently they close at 8pm. In a tourist... More

I live in the Fredericksburg area and was tired of going to the same places. I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and was pleasantly surprised. Casual and friendly. You don't feel like you need to be dressed up to fit in. Friendly staff greeted us at the door and we were quickly served our beverages. We went on a... More
