The food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing. Great service and drinks. This is a wonderful dining experience. I recommend a reservation especially for dinner. Food is very authentic and the servers are great. Great place to get dressed up and enjoy a nice dinner.

Great German food in a historic setting, a converted rail station that stil has rail service, Amtrak and CSX just behind it. Our first visit to Fredricksburg and we saw this location before we started the tourist thing. After walking the local shops for a few hours, we were hungry and thirsty. We were surprised to find authentic German cuisine... More

This place is great and I have been to numerous authentic German restaurants all over the Northeastern US. We didn't want to leave but we literally couldn't get down another ounce of food or beer. Do not miss eating here when passing through the area.

Highly overated! Food was not what I expected, especially for the price. There are many better places to eat in Fredericksburg!

From the friendly service, to the charming atmosphere of a restored train station, to the best salmon and wienerschinzel entrees... This is the best German restaurant! Would take the Amtrak train down from Philly just to eat here. The station is right there. If you go on a first Friday, Fredericksburg has their historic area open in the evening for... More

I wish I could eat here at least once a week because the food is that good. The schnitzel and all the sides are phenomenal (especially the corn - OMG!!) and I am a lover of Hefeweizen and theirs is top notch. The service was wonderful and the place is clean and beautiful - I love that it is part... More

Excellent German food. Huge servings. It's a bit pricey but their lunch specials are reasonably priced. Excellent homemade desserts!

Having a German blood line and having been stationed in Germany they know how to do it right with food, beer and wine. One of my favorite German dishes is pig hocks and sauerkraut. When we first went they didn't have it. At some point they started offering it as a special during certain times. I have been told that... More

Two lunch specials: one frikadollen (two large, baked meat patties, one pork & one veal, with fried egg on top, on bed of mashed potatoes and gravy); and one grilled Scottish salmon, with wild rice. Each dish was dressed with various vegetables, and also came with two vegetable sides which one chose from a list. Everything was excellent. The gravy... More

A German friend took us here for dinner. Truly authentic German food. Good and helpful service for those of us not familiar with the dishes. The sides were large and the best part of the meal. Not a lot of parking.
