This is a truly authentic German restaurant. All there foods are homemade from the appetizers to the desserts. We took my spouse’s mother there to eat for Mother’s Day. The food was sooo good and tasty. We made sure that we saved room for dessert which was Baked Alaska which was awesome. My husband’s mother is a German and she... More

My husband loved veal medallions. He said the sauce on it was delicous!!! I ordered weiner schnitzel. I didn't expect to get so much of it!!! They brought me two large pieces of it. Would have easily fed two people. I didn't care for the potato dumplings. Not what I expected. They had a strange flavor and didn't even taste... More

We tried this restaurant while touring historic downtown Fredericksburg. I thought the food was very good and authentic. I agree that it would be hard to diet at this place but a it could be done. This I can't mark it down because of portions. I recommend you co e with a friend and split an entree. You might have... More

Located in the old railroad station in Fredericksburg, VA. Once you walk inside you feel like you have been transported to Bavaria. This is a upper class restaurant with superb food and service with real Bier and a wine list that goes on and on. The food will leave a lasting memory with you, your family or, friends. We will... A local resident recommended this restaurant and we arrived early on a Saturday evening without a reservation. It was not an issue for the restaurant. The dining room is large and comfortable. The staff could not have been more accommodating! The first bottle of wine we ordered was too sweet for our tastes and the server took it back without... More

to this German Restaurant in Fredericksburg, VA. We drove a long way to get there, it was a Saturday. Really excited about the excellent food coming to the table, we sat down, ordered and when the food came, something was not right. I think we may have chosen the wrong day to visit: the Chicken Baden Baden used to be... More

While traveling alone on business I look for a locally owned establishment that is quiet offering quality food and superior service. I found it all here. The service was impeccable and the quaint atmosphere of the once Fredericksburg main train station added even more charm. Being German the menu offers typical heavy style choices. I ordered the chicken with Apple... More

Good food, not great. Service is average. sometimes better than others depending on the server. The portions are quite large. Not a good choice if you are on a diet.
