A 1950's hang-on...

We had searched BBQ places on "advisor" the day before,,,just looking. The one the GPS had closest was no longer open. This one was next closest. Picture an old brick corner store with a smoker out front. Menu had ribs, pork and beef. Service was very good and friendly. Food was fast arriving and... read more

Service was great & restaurant has a nice vintage atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly & helpful. The sweetened ice tea was great & the hushpuppies were good. The pulled pork BBQ was very lean, but had little flavor. We added their BBQ sauce that has a sweet vinegary flavor & was very good. The cold slaw was bland &... More

Great food (pulled pork BBQ, mac and cheese, onion rings); great service; great old-time decor. Very inexpensive, too! It was a little tricky negotiating the roads to the restaurant, but well worth it.

had lunch one day, we shared pulled pork sandwiches (sliced and minced) - both delicious - sides of fries (good), cole slaw (good) onion rings (great) - stopped by next day to pick up a rack of ribs to take home for dinner (great - melt in your mouth) which are only available after 3pm) - they gave us generous... My husband and I went for lunch ordering ribs and pulled pork sandwich. Meh. The ribs were reheated most likely from the day before, dry and tough. We shall not return. Pitiful.

I have always loved Allman's BBQ. I have been going for many years and have no complaints. Great BBQ, fries and iced tea.

I'm not sure where many of the reviewers have had BBQ, but i've had some of the best and this place is the worst I've ever had. The pulled pork, was liked boiled pork, no smoke flavoring, it tasted like it was old or sour. My wife got the same thing and her's was at bad, we both took a... More

This is a must if you love BBQ! Not much curb appeal, but the food makes up for the appearance! If you're not careful you will miss this establishment due to the way the intersection is designed. There is not a lot of parking, but close Enough to a shopping center that you can park and walk... You will need... More

This place was recommended to us by a local in Fredericksburg. We almost missed it driving by. But when you walk in, the smell of great bar b que is wonderful. The people are super nice, the food is great - with very generous portions. The onion rings are some of the best we've had. Our party of four all... More
