A nice surprice

This place was recommended to us by a local in Fredericksburg. We almost missed it driving by. But when you walk in, the smell of great bar b que is wonderful. The people are super nice, the food is great - with very generous portions. The onion rings are some of the best we've had. Our party... read more

I'm not sure where many of the reviewers have had BBQ, but i've had some of the best and this place is the worst I've ever had. The pulled pork, was liked boiled pork, no smoke flavoring, it tasted like it was old or sour. My wife got the same thing and her's was at bad, we both took a... More

This is a must if you love BBQ! Not much curb appeal, but the food makes up for the appearance! If you're not careful you will miss this establishment due to the way the intersection is designed. There is not a lot of parking, but close Enough to a shopping center that you can park and walk... You will need... More

I try to visit this place every time I come through Fredericksburg. I have the plate with two sides. Great value. The bun is optional. Restrooms are outside in the back. Great barbecue joint!! Friendly, no-nonsense wait staff.

This was our second trip to Allman's, and it was delicious both times. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone fabulous. The potato salad and green beens were great. The slaw is different, but good. It's a great BBQ joint!

Minced or chopped bbq made the old fashioned way. It gets busy so get there early at lunch. They have 1/4 hotdogs.

Finishing up my barbecue tour, this small place looks old and smoky but the cue didn';t have much flavor, the sides were of the school lunchroom quality, the sauce was righteous but that wasn't enough to save the place.
