I have been a long time fan of Poppy Hill. Love the food and the staff is always very accommodating for my gluten free needs.

Skip this place. I can't believe places like this exist. A restaurant in a basement no windows. I was waiting to see an overhead pipe burst.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience on Saturday evening during restaurant week. We were squeezed into our table, our $20.15 meals were not what we expected either. I got the duck ragu, which was two small pieces of duck on a bed of pasta that appeared and tasted like it had sat out (dry and yucky). My companion had... More

Boyfriend made reservations for us and we had a really nice evening. Food was great and the portions were large. We had a tomato/mozz appetizer with the BIGGEST tomatoes I have ever seen in my life. We went in the summer, later in the evening and sat outside. We were very surprised to find the restaurant itself is in a... More

Love the name...Great service...friendly owner who stopped by all of the tables...Nice waitstaff but the rather expensive food was just not up to snuff. The goat cheese appetizer was quite good but the main entrees were nothing special. Veal parmesan tasted very good but the pasta it was sitting on and the over abundance of tasteless tomato sauce was a... More

We just had dinner at this resto. We like coming back here because the food is great! But I hope your service is not going downhill...We'd like to keep good restaurants in the city..

My wife and I had dinner here last Saturday night, we were walking around and saw the sign for their specials. Their Veal Saltimbocca caught my eye, especially since it came with gnocchi. We took a table outside and ordered. The Veal Saltimbocca was great! The only downside was that they were out of gnocchi so I had to settle... More

We like coming here and decided to have a couple of appetizers which was a very interesting mushroom galette dish in a lovely crust and the other one was a goat cheese bruschetta served with crusted toast ! Both were very good and their house Chianti was also quite nice! Chianti

While the location is a bit strange (located below ground level) the service and food were very good. We especially liked the reasonable pricing on wine by the glass.

Tiny little downstairs bistro with good food and good service. Popular with us locals, but also given a very good review in one of the chi-chi rags.
