The berry and pecan tarts were wonderful! A favorite of our friends in Boston! Glad we had the opportunity to enjoy their fresh pastries!!Pricey but worth it!!!

The bread and croissant are "fine" but only if you can afford them. (remember the more butter you put in them the tastier they get :) ). This place is very pretentious, those prices are really some of the highest I have seen. A baguette for 4$ (in Paris it's 90euro cent), a croissant for 3.9$ or more... The bread... More

This bakery has a reputation as having the best bread in the Boston/Brookline area, deservedly so. The bread is fresh, crusty, tasty, out of this world. The bakers clearly love the art of baking and do it well. Extremely consistent - has been an excellent, top-notch place for years. Is not a restaurant, it's a to-go bakery - perfect for... More

We went on a Sunday morning and there were 20 people in line already. We decided to stay and it was worth it. They have like 40 kinds of bread on a 2 page rotation schedule and we got a rustic Italian bread that is just as good if not better than Bricco, but a little more expensive. Their bacon... More

It smells like a French bakery and tastes like a French bakery (it is also very small with no place to seat). One of the best croissants in town. Also, they offer the authentic French Galette des Rois in January. They also have canelés of Bordeaux. Simply delicious.

This place services some of the finer restaurants in Boston. Stop by early for best selection. Highly recommend the almond macaroons. Orgasmic! Pies, bread, cookies all excellent.

No seatings-- Ahhh. I wanted to sit down and enjoy the baked goods. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie and strawberry/rhubarb rustic pastry. The chocolate chip cookie tasted awful. I definitely had better. However, the strawberry/rhubarb pastry was VERY delicious. I would come back for this one only. The service was friendly. The place is really small! It is perfect... More

I think that was one of the best croissants I've had in the world. Crispy, light, buttery, but done just right. The bread rolls were delicious too. The other treats and loaves look amazing - will have to return to try more next time. It was a bit out of the way for me to get to this bakery but... More

For decades, Clear Flour has turned out stellar artisan bread and stellar artisan bakers who have spread to the four winds all over New England. But this bakery is still the star, a gem and treasure that people make pilgrimages to from all over the Boston area - and with good reason. Apart from their wide range of routine offerings,... More
