Amazing

Be ready to wait in line for the best bread you'll ever eat. Don't miss the fire roasted tomato bread and olive rolls...a sour dough baguette and pretty much everything else!

I had Christie make my wedding cake when she was starting off with this bakery in 1984. She sure was good and since then, any chance I get to head over to Thorndike street, and get the baguette, or the olive rolls. Everything they bake is just so fine. A real serious bakery. There is always something good to be... More

Such a well kept neighborhood secret. I had been living in Allston really close for 2 years with no news of this spot and then 6 months into moving to Brookline (8 years ago) bam! A friend took me to clear flour. A small spot at the intersection of many streets is apt for the baked goods that you will... More

French/German style bakery, with great products. My favorites: vollkorn brot, apricot almond cake, financiers, pave bred, baguette, ficelle. Fresh, great breads and pastry european style to go. One of the few places that attract long lines of customers, even or rainy days.

This is a fantastic bakery, from their french bread to their self made granola. An excellent bakery. Their sweet rolls and cookies are also excellent.

This is a small bakery in the heart of Brookline. You really can't go wrong with any of their options. My husband loves the baguettes, I go for the scones and focaccia. Certain things ( like the scones) sell out early, especially on Saturday. At times there is a line but it moves quickly, just like the breads. This is... More

We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday and unfortunately they were already out of all of their croissants... Sad face... I settled with an apricot/blueberry tart and an olive bread. Both were excellent. The place is tiny. Just like a French bakery, you buy everything "to go". I wish they would open another bigger location near Boston city center for... More

There Pumpernickel and cissel rye would make Bubbie "quvell". Allthough tons of modern , creative baked goods. Their sourdough and French breads are also great.

This is a bakery not a restaurant. There isn't anything you may choose from their wide selection that isn't outstanding. I am writing to tell you about one of my favorites. That is the pizza dough--that is if you like to make your own pizzas at home. Nothing beats this one, but it's not always available. It's worth it to... More

An excellent bakery, as witness the constant stream of customers. I particularly like their Christmas stollen and other sweeter items. Not cheap of course. Their French breads are excellent, and all their breads good.
