My wife and I are both hop heads, and after reading about this place on Beer Advocate, we had to try it, as it is rated world class in terms of their attention to quality craft beer and food. It was a summer Friday night, and we had to wait a bit. The place was packed, but the staff were... More

This restaurant is an institution in the area and is quite pricey. They used to have a less expensive tap room menu that seems to have been done away with. Classic New England Favorites are all available to fill a craving but the quality seems to be slipping in the interest of pre-prepared cost savings. Great atmosphere and staff still.... More

We've been here 3 times so far with our daughter who lives nearby. Great place to eat and enjoy the large selection of beer. Staff are always very friendly and service is very good. Outside seating is also available.

The food was very good, and the beer list was the largest I have ever seen! The waiter was very helpful in choosing one that I would like and answering questions my husband and father in law had! It was a tad dark in the dining room for my liking, but other than that we had a nice time!

My husband, my adult son and I visited this establishment on a Sunday in the middle of the afternoon. There were lots of people, but it was not full and we were able to get a table by the window easily. There were also tables outside available, although all were taken by the time we were leaving. My son brought... More

The staff is extremely strict about managing who gets seated and when. Even though that's typical of most Boston restaurants, the staff at Publick House is almost rude about it. We went there to get drinks with a small group of friends, and ran into another friend of ours who already had a table and was finishing dinner. So we... More

The Publick House is a great find! It's worth the trip to Washington Square anytime. The food is excellent, especially the mussels steamed in beer . They are a meal in and of themselves and are really unbeatable. The charcuterie boards are great, too. And everything else I've eaten here has been excellent. The selection of beers is quite large... Only drawback loud but everything is good, friendly staff really good food, eat in or out in summer, fun to hang and watch your 23 year old pre-med prepping son eat and relax with his roommates and we pick up the tab all worth it. You will lie it.

They have many types of mac and cheese and you can create it how you would like it. If you want to try that it is definitely worth going. The rest of the menu is not huge selection. But they do have an extensive beer list.

The food was great. The crab cakes are to die for, the risotto is awesome, and they have beers from all over the world. The Publick House would get a 5 star for me if not for the loud music. We could barely hear each other. Note that the place can be easily packed and that there are 4 or... More
