Good Food & Beer

Tasty food - but if you are into quieter places, this one's not for you. Good service, fun place. The pastrami sandwich (a Reuben in Massachusetts!) was delicious, The beer choices were well explained by our server.

If you are looking to visit the great beer bars of Boston, The Publick House has to top your list. Yes, it gets noisy. Yes, it can get crowded. The thing about this place is that they really know about the beer they serve. We have visited twice over the past couple of months and both times our servers were... More

We went on Tuesday to celebrate my husband's bday. We couldn't make a reservation so we checked the website and saw they were opened for Marathon day in Boston; so we just decided to show up. It was 5 of us (including my 87 years old mother). We were seated at a very large table -rectangular table - we did... More

As noisy as possible. Go by yourself if you are going to go unless you don't mind hollering across the table. Burger no better or worse than other pub themed places. Specialty is wide variety of macaroni and cheese. It is pretty good. Large variety of beer and ale on tap. They have Allagash Wheat Ale which is a favorite... More

To make family vacations interesting, I choose beer places to eat at. He loves unique beers, and I found my favorite style (Kolsch) in a bottle here, as well. My 11-year-old said his burger was the best ever. The beers on tap were impressive, and with the Belgian Trappist Monk flair, it was fun. On the green line, it is... More

I went there with my family on a weekday. It was our second choice as the other restaurant was full. But we have had a very positive experience. The atmosphere is welcoming for a diverse set of diners. We were not the only family and that was great. The service was attentive but not in your face. The food, simple... More

I really want to be able to give this place 4-5 stars because of the great food and beer selection; however, my past two experiences within the past year haven't been so wonderful. Last year I came here with a group of 4 people. I ordered the hamburger and it was cooked perfectly to my liking at medium rare. Overall... More

My husband and I went in here after taking a trip to Boston to visit some breweries. It's listed as one of the top craft brew bars in some places so we wanted to make sure we made it in. We went in around 5:00 on our way home, figuring it would be pretty empty, but because of the Pats... More

If you like a variety of beer then this is your place! The waiter was helpful in choosing the types of beer we were interested in. The mac and cheese was super. You can pick the toppings that you want. We did get there early (5:30) on a Friday night. It did start to get crowded when we were leaving.... More
