The staff is extremely strict about managing who gets seated and when. Even though that's typical of most Boston restaurants, the staff at Publick House is almost rude about it. We went there to get drinks with a small group of friends, and ran into another friend of ours who already had a table and was finishing dinner. So we... More

The Publick House is a great find! It's worth the trip to Washington Square anytime. The food is excellent, especially the mussels steamed in beer . They are a meal in and of themselves and are really unbeatable. The charcuterie boards are great, too. And everything else I've eaten here has been excellent. The selection of beers is quite large... Only drawback loud but everything is good, friendly staff really good food, eat in or out in summer, fun to hang and watch your 23 year old pre-med prepping son eat and relax with his roommates and we pick up the tab all worth it. You will lie it.

They have many types of mac and cheese and you can create it how you would like it. If you want to try that it is definitely worth going. The rest of the menu is not huge selection. But they do have an extensive beer list.

The food was great. The crab cakes are to die for, the risotto is awesome, and they have beers from all over the world. The Publick House would get a 5 star for me if not for the loud music. We could barely hear each other. Note that the place can be easily packed and that there are 4 or... More

I went with friends and the menu allowed us to order all kinds of comfort food (during one of our frigid spells), along with interesting cider, beer, and ales. The waitress was extremely accommodating and friendly. --so glad that this restaurant is in my neighborhood!

We had an early dinner here, and were very pleased with the food and the service. The Belgian beers available on tap were absolutely outstanding. This is not a fancy place at all, but cozy and done up as an abbey. I had the mussels and frites. A huge portion that I could not finish; they were very good. The... More

Went to Publick house today for lunch. The food was excellent. My wife got the harvest salad, while I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. We ordered chicken fingers with fries for our son off of the kids menu. The food came out relatively quickly, although the restaurant was essentially empty at this point. The food was excellent, exactly what you... More

Incredible food, ridiculous beer selection. Service has been spotty at times, but I still love it. Not to be missed!

I went to Publick House with my wife and daughter about two weeks ago and walked away happy. The menu only has about 20 things to choose from but they all seemed fantastic, I ended up getting the special that day (pan roasted Arctic Char) while my wife got the Brendoni sandwich. Both were truly outstanding and I'd recommend either... More
